  • I love your videos; i am trying to learn asl selftaught and maybe when i have learned enough i`ll start enrolling in classes. The music in the background for this video, what song is that because i dont think i have ever heard a more beautiful sound!

  • @gigi1bokus Thanks :) I just got the song off of garage band on my Mac :)

  • It's amazing how much babies can pick up on.

  • This is amazing, I'm 19 and currently teaching my self I wish my parents would have:)

  • Cute!

  • She's really intelligent

  • My teacher sent me here for our ASL class.

  • @MrN1310 That's so wonderful to hear! Thanks :)

  • She is so cute.

  • That is cool. My one year old just sat next to me the entire time I watched this and started moving her hands about. So cute. Your daughters beautifull.xx

  • The most funny sign was "the milk" 1.

  • Holy crap that is amazing!!! Your dd is very smart!! My dd is 11 months old and we just started signing. I hope she gets as good as your daughter!!!

  • It would be great if I could get this app on Android too.

  • Damn, she's really smart. :)

  • Omg! That is amazing! Dang if she can do it I can definitely do it! This totally motivated me! :))

  • @noracgarcia85 Thanks :) I'm glad the app helps!

  • i want to teach my children when I have kids!

  • Gorgeous! We taught our niece 'Honey' she is now 18months ,to sign language, I thought that it would stop her from speaking... I WAS So wrong... her speaking is incredible the baby sign language helps them communicate so much in the early stages!

  • Thank you so much to share

  • WOW!! THERE WAS A GORRILLA THAT WAS TAUGHT TO SIGN AS WELL!! THIS IS A BEATIFUL BABY!!! ..

    AMAZING!!

  • This is really neat. Your baby is adorable and she'll be smart too.

  • Smart baby! Cute too

  • how can people dislike this??

  • It's cool that you taught your baby to sign :3 I however want to point out some slight nuances in your signing... "eat" is touched once as a verb, twice as a noun "food", and "more" is touched once as well, because touched twice it is read "kissing". I know that this doesn't matter when it is communication between a child and parent, but I just wanted to let you know (:

  • @thexstupidxlamb yes you are right! I definitely sign that way with my friends but with my kiddos I simplify it :)

  • I will teach my children sign. I have a friend who did this, and the baby is a teenager now and they still remembers the signs it sticks with them, my friend calls it Intelligent Parenting. Its a great alternative to "What do you want??" "Why don't you go to sleep??" lol

Dont worry about the haters, that sees your page, there's always someone that disagrees..

  • wow a smart baby and i know sign 2

  • Any chance of an app for Android?

  • @jnb1986 I have two on the Android market! :)

  • This is amazing! Your baby is really smart and you are a wonderful mother for teaching her! :)

  • omg how did you do it my baby just tuned 1 and she says a few random gugu gagas but i want her to learn words and different languages like me. your 1 year old is fantastic.

  • DD is 5 1/2 mos, and I am starting to sign with her now so she can start to recognize signs with the words and actions ... so far, i've learned Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, drink, milk, apple, water, kiss, i love you, baby, all done, more, bath, cookie (which is more for me than her right now). I can't wait to see if she starts using the signs too!

  • this is increadible! im young and still dont have a child, but this would be a great skill to learn!

  • cute mom too!

  • Such a cute baby and an amazing work!! This video shows how helpful a signing language is!! I also LOVE the song, can somebody please tell me the name? =)

  • @aoymotr thanks! The song is just a loop I made using Garage Band on my Mac :)

  • My son is three and he has a language disorder and only has a vocabulary of around ten words so we are trying to teach him to sign so thanks for this video it is good to know that it is possible. I have to learn the signs so that while they are teaching him in school I will also know what he is learning.

  • I love how you two do 'O's for cheerios :) That's too endearing

  • Wow. I'm not deaf but I'm pretty fluent in American Sign Language and I know what bed is in Russian Sign Language. Lol. :) But that's so adorable! She's so damn cute asking for water. Very brilliant teaching your kid that. =3

  • This is amazing!!!

Do you think it's too late for me to sign, I'm 14?

  • Wow, that is amazing. She is a very smart baby. Knowing sign language can open up so many opportunities when she is older too. Your a brilliant mother. She is a very lucky child. Well done. xxx

  • aww she's so precious! If i have kids, I'm teaching them sign!

  • what a smart baby, she's beautiful

  • @WoodWorkingPro Definitely, check some of my other videos that shows her progress.

  • @bubbleball67 Yes, she would tell me what she wanted. I just 'quizzed' her like this to show people the signs she knew. But in everyday life she would just communicate her needs to me this way.

  • Smart baby

How did u teach her that???!!!

  • @sandmgilbert thanks! There is a link to an article I wrote about how to sign with your baby on my channel page. That will tell you how to teach a baby sign language.

  • @sandmgilbert just like you teach a baby to talk

  • I'm very curious as to why you're teaching her American Sign Language?

Is there a person in the family that's deaf?

  • @EpicBacon no, i was a teacher and used it in my classroom. I came across a lot of studies that talked about the benefits of using sign language with babies. I always knew I would teach my baby. It can really help to reduce their frustration because they can easy communicate their needs to you.

  • Im 10 years old and your baby girl makes me wana have mine a little early :P I'll teach my baby sign language when i have them for sure!!! It must be incredible to be able to communicate with your child at such an early age when so many other moms are having trouble trying to understand their babies...God bless your family!

  • and then what ?

  • @Meme1700ss what do you mean? And then does she talk or and then does she continue to sign? The answers to both of those are yes. Check out some of my other videos that show her progress.

  • smart baby

  • We taught my little brother some sign language before he could speak. We didn't use quite as many words, but he knew more, hungry, thirsty, milk, cookie, ball, please, (he never did get the hang of thank you, but then again, most tots don't), momma, daddy, and all done. It was very nice to be able to communicate with him even when he was only a few months old.

  • 20 - Ok theres a problem here.. theres a dislike button. how could you possibly dislike this?

  • That's great! Great video!

  • Great!! amazing baby :)

  • Who is this cutie? She is adorable and I can already tell that she has a bright future ahead of her. Who could dislike this? It's amazing how you taught her to sign at a young age, she is very smart. I'm a beginner in ASL. It's a very unique talent:) What was the reason you started signing? What do you think of it?

  • I just started introducing signs to the 8 and a half month old boy that I nanny. He can only sign "All done" so far, but he really pays attention whenever I do any of the signs. I've started with milk, more, all done, eat and change. I'm really trying to get him to understand eat and more, because those would be the most useful for him to communicate to me. :)

  • I know some sign language b/c I have a frend who is also my oldest sons godmother that is deaf and mute. I would like to learn more because this is the only way to communicate with her, but I would also like to teach my kids at the same time. • I saw the milk sign on meet the fockers

  • She's so intelligent... I wonder how far she can run with regards to her education.. I bet she could get the highest rank.. :)

  • How did you personally learn sign language, and what's the best way to teach a hearing child. I'm still an asl student, but I wanna teach my children asl and I'm kinda doing it with my cousins. One's three, and he's getting some signs. The other is almost a year and she's trying. I sign her name to her a lot. But it seems like it would be difficult because they're getting a lot of language too. How do you focus they're attention and get them to realize what signs go with what?

  • @furryvampirecandy I learned ASL in teachers' college. When I teach her I would just add them to our day, I would teach her when we were reading a book or eating etc. I just figured out what words would be useful to her or interested her. :)

  • My brother can do that, he is 11 months old and he knows 15 words, it's so cute when he sighns
