the ford fusion is the only ford built in mexico. 7 honda models are imported from japan, and 8 toyota models are imported as well. so thats 7 of 16 for honda, ford is 1 of 14. and japan manipulates its yen so it is unfairly low when converted from the dollar, which does lower the dollars value. Its people like u that piss me off because its probably as simple as a loose wire or bad connection as to why the door wont shut. Why not sue ford for it? I agree that u r getting screwed by the dealer.
Incidently, I have taken this issue to another dealer, and since the first one won't fix it, they won't either. They told me that. There are other weird things going on. The main computer that controls the car is what is malfunctioning. Shit, even the guy from Ford Credit knew it. My neighbor who owns a repair shop tells me the issue is really this....my local dealership gets paid a lot less for a job like this, and it takes a long time, so they can't charge someone else $125/hr to rotate tires.
Just an update. Our lemon law attorney is getting a subpoena for all the records at the various Ford dealerships. Sure hope the judge allows me to stick my foot in Ford's ass. Maybe I can use the money i get from the law suit to by an Odyssey.

However, the door isn't really the problem, it's a symptom. The computer that runs the car is the problem.
As far as the lawyer, the one we use specialize in Lemon Law, and there is no charge to me for this. so I am risking nothing. I do have the Ford extended warranty, but they won't honor it.
It's not the chain. One of the guys at my Ford Dealer, said that it's the chip, and we've had several other electrical issues. Some days the headlights won't come on! I just didn't have a video for it.
Some days the radio speakers won't work.
Some days the other door won't open (and that happened with the kids in the car!)
When this vid was shot, it was about 7:30. The car doors were locked (this one was too) and teh door opened on it's own. It's done it before at the mall too!
Ford minivans are worse. That's why they quit making them and the Grand Caravan was top selling minivan and I heard it still is now. Either that or the Honda Odyssey.

My neighbor is a mechanic and knew right away what the problem was. The computer chip (which is expensive) needs to be replaced.
Now my extended warranty expired, and we are screwed..

first of all a faulty electric door and a broken tranny are two completely different things. A car door that you need to push isnt a big deal, but if your fuckin transmission fell out of your fuckin car im pretty sure people wouldnt be telling you to push it because that would make absolutely no sense. I know a woman who had the electric door slide off the track of a Chevy Venture. While many Chevy's are notorious for poor fuel economy, Ford seems to have more than a few electrical problems. The power locks in my moms Taurus are giving out one by one. I'm not a big fan of Toyota, but Hondas seem okay.
Buy crossovers! An SUV's inconvenient height and cramped seating combined with the poor handling and fuel economy of a minivan.

Oh my god..... Vans have had manual doors since Dodge introduced them in the 80s. They just now come out with electric doors for lazy people, and you're complaining.... Is it so hard to pull the door closed normally? People have been doing it for years. Try it.
Keep in mind, these vehicles are still assembled by humans. Humans make mistakes. Its under warranty. Quit complaining and just accept an error or two.

the ford fusion is the only ford built in mexico. 7 honda models are imported from japan, and 8 toyota models are imported as well. so thats 7 of 16 for honda, ford is 1 of 14. and japan manipulates its yen so it is unfairly low when converted from the dollar, which does lower the dollars value. Its people like u that piss me off because its probably as simple as a loose wire or bad connection as to why the door wont shut. Why not sue ford for it? I agree that u r getting screwed by the dealer.

Incidently, I have taken this issue to another dealer, and since the first one won't fix it, they won't either. They told me that. There are other weird things going on. The main computer that controls the car is what is malfunctioning. Shit, even the guy from Ford Credit knew it. My neighbor who owns a repair shop tells me the issue is really this....my local dealership gets paid a lot less for a job like this, and it takes a long time, so they can't charge someone else $125/hr to rotate tires.

Just an update. Our lemon law attorney is getting a subpoena for all the records at the various Ford dealerships. Sure hope the judge allows me to stick my foot in Ford's ass. Maybe I can use the money i get from the law suit to by an Odyssey.

However, the door isn't really the problem, it's a symptom. The computer that runs the car is the problem.
As far as the lawyer, the one we use specialize in Lemon Law, and there is no charge to me for this. so I am risking nothing. I do have the Ford extended warranty, but they won't honor it.

It's not the chain. One of the guys at my Ford Dealer, said that it's the chip, and we've had several other electrical issues. Some days the headlights won't come on! I just didn't have a video for it.
Some days the radio speakers won't work.
Some days the other door won't open (and that happened with the kids in the car!)
When this vid was shot, it was about 7:30. The car doors were locked (this one was too) and teh door opened on it's own. It's done it before at the mall too!
