  • Love the Song as well as Led Zeppelin:) DeniseX

  • Robert Plant, for all his talents...can not dance.

  • their work is great! not to mention they sound like buddies from high school when talking. Hahaha. :D

  • You know I actually liked the album but I thought the production of the songs was a little sparse in places..I think if they would of added more lushness to some of these standards it would of came across better.

  • just exept his appearence hes still THE robert plant

  • Who knows that he doesn't still smoke weed? But anyway, he hasn't changed for the worse, he's simply changed. Imcomparable to his previous forms. I like Robert Plant, and nevertheless, he's the only member of Led Zeppelin (exlclusive of John Bonham for obvious reasons,) who has made an individual identity. I hope the days to come are the happiest for him.

  • holy shit robert plant changed...

  • LMAO

  • Gosh I can't wait for their next album... usually an artist/duet (or colaboration in Robert and Alisons case) come out with their first album and it's great and the next one is absolute crap... but... I don't think that will be the case! With such amazing people working on a project, I think it'll be quite a treat... and, they are AMAZING live!!!

  • I read that they are intentionally taking their time with the second album so that it will be just as good, if not better, than the first and will probably have more upbeat tempo songs. Best music anyone has made in a long time!!

  • *agreed* :)) Alyssa

  • not really, he just grew up and expanded his horizons. he's having fun.

  • Beautiful work

  • Both are amazing, but Robert you Rocks, come back again to Led Zeppelin for a final World Tour.

  • Is Plant being a satanist a rumor or is it true?

  • I don't know if he still practices it or not but LZ was known amongst a tight circle of people during the 70s that they were into Crowley's satnist teachings as far as Page and Plant are concerned.I never heard them say they that they ever had a change of heart about the occult or Crowley so I assume Page and Plant are still ok with it.If they acheived success from the help of it I assume they still apprecite it.

  • correction ,I meant to say "I assume they still appreciate it"

  • Looking at Robert Plant and knowing he is still into the satanic thing is crazy because he acts so polite. These younger rockers put down the Lord and say crazy demonic stuff, wear satanic tatoos but Page and Plant have always acted like they would be glad to sweep and vacum your floors.Alison Krauss,Aliester Crowley, isn't that a coinsedense that they sound so simular?Just an observation, but very strange.Good interview

  • mate you are truly off your rocker.for the record page was into the occult not plant.

  • to coogo2 It has been said that JP JONES did not care for the occult stuff and I am sure Bonham did not say much, but Page did not hide it.He opened a occult book store in London, and Plant sings about satan and man and something that has to do with satans daughter on the song "Houses of the Holy".The cover on the lp Presense shows a family staring at a occult symbol and the back shows a lady transmiting the power of that symbol into a child.Plant collected dirt off the crossroads in Mississppi

  • ok lets go through this bit by bit.yes everybody knows page was into the occult, had a shop, collects crowley material even bought his house etc.

the lyric is"from the door comes satans daughter

",though i dont know what that proves?

    dirt from the crossroads..allegedly!..again

i dont see anything other than silly half truths...oh and the "object" on presense is just that.its not an occult object it was designed by hypgnosis especially for the album

  • Oh my! Really - check your facts and your grammar and spelling. You have no idea what you're talking about. That was a great interview and Robert was very sincere, as always.

  • oh and alison krauss sounds nothing like aleister crowley in neither name nor nature.please research your subject.

  • Oh yeah appleofeye, I bet she chose that name JUST because it sounds vaguely similar to Aleister Crowley. If you have a mouth full of change.

  • To northvalley,I had to throw that in,hahahaLOL,it was too good to pass up.I am a old LZ fan myself and you have to admit I have all of you and other ones with disagreeable responces thinking about the simularity of the name.Admit it,you were hit from behind and you don't quite know what to say.I got you people thinking,so go ahead and spread the rumors with your friends, but ol apppleofeye got you,yes he did

  • I read it and I was like, "What the fuck?" I have to admit I laughed.

  • I love Alison, she's really funny, and I love listening to her talk lol

  • Thanks for posting this! I just saw the duo 3 nights ago. Inspiring.

  • you guys wanna stop using bad language. There are kids that watch these.

  • Damn you're weird.

  • are you really that stupid, that you think the only relationship they could muster is a sexual one?

Why can't they just be friends?

  • Are you really that stupid that you think I'm serious? It was a joke, a reference to a life of excess, being a rock star in the '70's. Maybe you're not old enough to get. But, try not to take everything so damn seriously.

  • blah...bollocks..

  • Someones minds aren't just dirty enough ;).

  • I wonder if they're shagin? :)

  • OH FUCK OFF,WILL YA...

  • I wondered the same thing.

  • someone gave me shite for posting that. i'm glad to see someone agrees with me.

  • try all the kings horses, absolutely brilliant

  • going by the times you mention all the kings horses........i recon you like that tune...... like it myself...:-)

  • LOL!

    That was great!

  • No, keeponraining, I'm seeing them in Los Angeles, at the Greek Theater. Great place, surrounded by forest! A perfect setting...

    They're there 6/23 & 24, we're going the 24th.

  • This is one of my favorite albums of the last few years- I listened to it nonstop for two weeks when I first got it. I'm seeing them in June, can't wait! :)

  • Us too. June 28 - can't wait. Been loving Raising Sand since it was released. This is a superb collaboration: AK, RP + T-BoneB! Everybody wins!

  • ooooh Robert! i ♥ you!

  • Some of you guys/gals are morons. These two sound great together.

  • "your gonna have a bus" god,i love her

  • Robert Plant is made out of pure magic. Someone put black magic in a bottle... and out popped a Plant.

  • Robert Plant Poons!

  • this song has a coool sound,i luv it...and i don't know who she is,but she's hott!

  • You must not be a yank, eh? Alison Krauss is one of the finest performers alive. Check out her solo stuff.

  • AWESOME...WHAT ELSE CAN YOU SAY....

  • what do you mean awesome thanks to her were gonna have to wait for the led zeppelin tour

  • its kind of thanks to robert actually, hes the one who wanted to do it To be perfectly honest I want a led zeppelin tour as much as any other fan. But if Robert wants to do music im not into I really dont mind, Freedom of choice and all that.

  • I must say their vocals are very complimentary to each other!

  • i want to ask robert plant why he prefers american influence more than the beatles which wast the institution of all,he must know that he can't exist without the beatles they opened the door for all british artists..

  • With respect. All the British artistes at that time where influenced by American artistes, The Animals, The Beatles and Stones etc. The Beatles i think, did alot for the British invasion into America but were still influenced by their music. But i might add, we beefed it up a lot better lol

  • a lot of the black artists in america took british folk music from the slave traders and changed it..the pentatonic scale is used in celtic music and blues for a reason. so its swings and roundabouts.

  • I was answering the question above. Robert Plant has stated in the past and named American artistes as his influence. I don't like to get political about music as it depends on taste rather than culture etc.

  • rock n roll started on north america...not much more to say really.

  • Gosh.. they are so nice and down to earth(after all they have achieved). 'Course so much talent.

  • He did Record with the Honeydrippers American singers, whell Paul Shaffer is a Canadian(Close enough)

  • Remember the song" Hot Dog" he did Country in 1980

  • Very good! But pleaaaazzzeee Robert tour with Zepplin before or after your tour with

Allison (some call it Jed Zeppelin!)...

    Amazing singing as a duo!

  • Raising Sand is my Album of the Year. Great music, genius collaboration. Who'd have guessed this would work so well. And wow, oh wow this is turning into some amazing year for Robert Plant. The Led Zeppelin reunion last night is getting the most amazing reviews!

  • The man is a genius! What more can be said?

The same can be said about Allison.

  • Wouldn't say Allison was a man lol.

  • ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS...

  • He isn't dating Alison. They merely recored a album together.

  • haha robert lives in the same town as me and one day me and my mom were driving down this road and we ddint know where we were cuz we got lost and then we ended up at his house and he went outside and started waving at us OMG I NEARLY DIED

  • What a thrill it must have been!

  • This is bluegrass?? Sounds like Rockabilly

  • The point is that..its NOT bluegrass. It's different for both of them. Also, not rockabilly

  • It's a rockabilly, hillbilly excursion? I wasn't reading into it too much. It does sound accessible. I'm not knocking it.

  • You got to remember that the "Everly Brothers" wrote this song, probably for them to sing, so it sounds like one of their songs, right?

  • That confused me...are you saying the everly's wrote this for Plant and Allison? Cause that's not right...but I don't think that's what you were saying.

  • No, I'm sorry I didn't make myself clear. They probably wrote the song for themselves to sing, you know, it sounds like something the Everly Bros. would sing. Right?

  • Alright yeah that's what I thought you meant. They did write it for themselves and they did sing it. Both versions are great.

  • all the songs on the album they did are RnB classics, mostly from the 60's. They are all covers, and the Everly Brothers were the ones who originally performed Gone, Gone, Gone. hope that answers the questions

  • I wouldn't say all of them are RnB but a lot are.

  • Gone,Gone,Gone is rockabilly, not r&b, and I don't think I'd call anything of this album r&b...

  • wow i love allison....

but wow how cool is bobert and t-bone

  • Seriously, this album is going to win a LOT of awards.

  • i hope they do, great album, just the best singers

    the video is kinda funny

plant doesn't want to leave his led-persona behind but it's cool. he is the man

  • bob plant says he hadnt recorded with an american before this.thats is not true. cause he recorded with Tori Amos on "down by the seaside"a while ago.

  • He meant he never consistently played with American musicians; ie- put a whole record out and tour.

  • t bone on guitar

  • when is that video ever going to be released????

  • What a great bloke.

  • Purrrrrrr

  • God bless Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Too few musicians take chances these days. They took a big chance with this CD and it paid off. It is a fascinating piece of work.

  • True, true, true! I haven't heard the whole album yet, but I'm getting it!

  • My two FAVORITE Artists did a CD together!!!!.....what more could I ask for??

    AWESOME!!!!!....I LOVE IT!!!!

  • everything tbone burnett touches turns to gold and this will be no exception!!! wow!!

  • With this release, make it platinum. Burnett is amazing in how he works with other musicians.

  • So refreshing to see a new release being promoted by 2 people who really do love music.

  • A Brilliant Post....!!!

I have to say Dermot does a better interview than Radio 2 muso's Padcliffe & Maconie did (oh, let's pre-record it, edit it, & pretend it's live....the listeners will never know....)

  • Yeah, have to agree there.

Dermot normally has me shouting at the telly but not this time.

    Great interview.
