hello i real have interesting with your clip but i have one question need to asking you . i own macbook air and am not installed lion myself ( I bring MA to apple store for installer and they use another hard drive for install in my MA) but when I saw your video, I try to follow your step but am not see INSTALLER OS X LION on application or anywhere else . i hoping you can show your way thank you bro
@MrRaksasok With a new MacBook Air you can use the recovery partition. If you need your own DVD, I believe you will need to purchase a copy from the app store..
@wwcomputerrepair I saw that too, but you only show how to do it if you download the OS. What if i purchase a new macbook pro and it is preinstalled, will i be able to do this?
why do you have to start your computer and press option. Can't you just plug in the cd and install it like that? I only ask because I tried and the installer opened up
it looks simple in the video.... except the install mac app is not in my applications folder and i can't find it using spotlight. i'm already running lion now, so maybe it's too late to do after it's installed.
@norlundc The installer deletes it when it installs on the volume it is located on. You can just re-download it by visiting the purchases tab of the Mac App Store.
@wwcomputerrepair i googled and figured out if anyone wants to re-download the app from the app store, you hold down option key and click purchases in mac app store app. this allows to download again. i wish apple made this easier, but maybe it's a business move on their part.
@norlundc Even if you downloaded it sometimes you still cannot download again -- as I found out the hard way.
Apple has taken a HUGE leap backwards with their stupid elimination of DVDs. It's like being thrust back into the complex installation era of Mac OS 6 or Windows 3.1. For what? Just to save a damn $1 for not including a DVD? Ridiculous!!
I can't find that wallpaper, please, PLEASE, give me the pic. (e-mail me or dropbox, etc...) :-)

@james95121 It will boot and no password required. Just like the classic OS X DVDs
