The way the song sounds is exactly the way they wanted it! Everything does not have to sound like a Phil Specter Wall Of Sound production. The song sounds like only guitar ,bass,drums and vocals because that's what they have in the band. By not layering all kinds of overdubs that means that they can play this song live without tapes or sequencers or extra guests.

Nuno's voice is kinda more cool/funky/relaxed voice, wich fits the slow version of the song, they're almost like opposites.

@toolkills this album was recorded in 1992. this is actually tight and different from the rock production of the time. this is CRISP production. that snare drum couldn't be any further from 80s sounding. you gotta be kidding me. an 80s-sounding snare would be drenched in reverb. this one has barely any. this recording sounds better than most of the modern rock records of the best 5 years that are mastered so damn loud where there are no dynamics. This Extreme record is perfect in my view.
