The drawings remind me of one of the Beatles cartoon film "Yellow Submarine" (?) where the beatles had to fight against the blue meanies. The designer of the drawings is probably the same or has the same taste for psychodelic artistry and ... Jaaazzzzz !
man, i use to watch this when i was 3, on every damn episode of seasame street every day. felt like i was gunna have a seizure, and i still do after all these years!!
The Pointer Sisters provided the vocals for this classic...when the group was a quartet and singing in nostalgic 40's style. Hear Bonnie, Ruth, Anita and June...how i love them so!
OMG! wow i cnt believe it, i havnt seen that for 15 years!! i was wondering the other day if id ever see this again, pretty sad i know but takes me back! lol

For people living in Calgary, this tune 1 to 12 is used for the Top 12 at 12 on X929.

The 70s. Life in a dumb decade.
I totally remember not liking that back in the day. Of course, when you follow Ernie & Bert, disco just can't compete.

If you think this is disco, or even in any way resembles disco, you are sadly mistaken and a pretty musically ignorant.

Oh my god! Thank you for posting that! was that compiled together? I remember the song featuring only one number(between 1 and 12) for an episode.

I think this is a great way to do it.You get everything all at once.
The original does just feature one number.
