@1134Dproductions Actually Bob gave Dick Herronomus a ride out to my farm to pick up Farm Depot's tractor and Amazone. TNT Equipment and Tri County Equipment still had their demo equipment at my farm. Bob just took them for a ride!
@eagerjeffrey I see. I remember TNT brought the 485 to our farm one day to demo it with the same ripper. We had our 9530 on a DMI 730B with lead shanks running 14 inches deep. We switched tractors and rippers, the 485 still played w/ the DMI.
Our ground is mostly harder clay like ground. We dont plow anymore, so we use rippers to break up the hardpan instead. But on a sand knoll we bump them up just enough to move roots.
@Deere70Diesel Yesterday we wanted to try out the QuadTrac on the the Dominator......... Maybe we will today! Our Fair is happening this week, One of my neighbors cracked " Maybe we ought to take them up to the Tractor Pull this week and see which one really pulls more!" Now that would be neat to YouTube!
I would like to fitt my 1455 XL with this cultivator !!! :-D :-D :-D

I still say the best way to test out these machines are to go through 200+ bushel corn and see how they go

We run Two of the eighteen foot dominators with 9430 tractors they do a great job but its all the tractor can do to pull them at twenty inches deep.

@1134Dproductions just wondering why you run so deep, here in ontario(mainly sand) we run 4-5", just enough to get the roots out

@1134Dproductions thanks, i was just wondering b/c if it was all sand that would be a waste of time and fuel, but that makes sense, keep on farming.
