  • This track must be one of the most creepy and interesting songs I have ever listened to.

And strangely enough it does leave an impact emotionally and puzzled (maybe just me though lol) especially if played at nighttime.

Love this song and the artist.

  • This song puts me in a primal mood. Dance time!!!!

  • I love that this is on the album. I think it adds a layer of creepiness to the otherwise cheerful songs like "In Your Light" and "Save Me". Like... there's something else going on, not obvious on the surface. This and "State of the Art".

  • I am going to walk the Camino de Santiago.... thnx to Wouter

  • He has a sound that intrigues your senses. I liked how it got louder in the song. Kind reminds me a little of pyschedelic music...leaves you with a feeling.

  • He has an 80's sound to him and also a slight feel of reggae

  • Watching who? Watching me?

  • Such an amazing voice this guy has! Have only just started listening to him and I'm already downloading his tracks...

  • ♥♥♥

  • Gotye's giving me a bit of an IAMX vibe(idk tbh) and I like it.

  • Great song- think everyone but a priest can relate or at least I hope. Great voice from both vocalist. Always a plus to find something new and good hopefully the world will get out of the lame main stream shit so real musicians can get back in the game.

  • LOVE THIS SONG BROUGHT ME BACK TO MY TEENAGE YEARS

  • 1:42 dont listen to this loudly i made that mistake

  • @countingstars12 heart attack ! ;D gosh....

  • 2:26

  • @cherry894 that was the first thing i thought, but that still doesn't take from the fact, this is an awesome album from an extremely amazing artist :) :)

  • ;D

  • Opening 3rd eyes everywhere.

  • i bought this album last 2 weeks ago in germany!

  • Reminds me a bit of Reggea.. :D

  • This song makes my vagina wet, very, wet indeed.

  • @Captainfruity wtf no one wants know that

  • @Captainfruity mine too

  • @Captainfruity -.- What?

  • i could be wrong but sounds like a nod to The Police, with the sound and the title

  • Wow *_*

  • It's sexy indeed.....

  • Am I the only one who finds this song sexy?

  • @VeryFreakyGirl11 nooooo... i think is the best song for a sex-scene of a movie... :D

  • this song is soooo comforting..

  • The cure for musical writer's block is Gotye.

  • love when i find different music .... thank you Gotye for being so brilliant :))

  • it feels to me like the real song still needs to be starting while its been playing all the time.

    disappointing =/

  • @BFHsucker Fair enough, I think the subtly is key here though.

  • for some reason this reminds me of Nine Inch Nails

  • @Stoneman180190 Ya, thought the same thing- but only for a moment. Has a similar beginning to Piggy.

  • @piabutter Good catch. I think I hear it...

  • @Stoneman180190 Thank you! First thing I thought of which is mad. He's the Australian Trent Reznor without the anger

  • You either love this or you hate it.

personally , i love it, because it's so different than modern pop music.

It's experimental in a good way, to me (:

  • If the world likes "Somebody That I Used to Know"

Wait until they get a load of the rest of his music, this is amazing.

  • Reminds me a lot of Radiohead which is great

  • @Deuteronomy213

More like Peter Gabriel meets Kate Bush to me, but hey your's cool too!

Fact is that this guy is a refreshing morning rain in the molded landscape of pop music.

  • Can't get enough!!! I need my Gotye fix at least once a day!! hahaha

  • Just do as we say, and we won't hurt you...

  • This song has a coolness you can literally grab.

  • i just discovered this band today! :D

  • @mattgraco -_-

  • my world has been opened by this brilliant artist!!

  • you're keeping me surprised with every track, which really isnt surprising.

Thankyou for giving us your gift of music.

  • I'm so glad I discovered this guy.

  • @Jehnnycash - "I'm so glad I discovered this guy" is literally what i just wrote on facebook before the playlist played this song. this is amazing stuff.

  • Such a cool song

  • THIS IS AWESOME.

  • This song is sickkkk

  • It pisses me off that the end of this song is so awesome yet it's so short. Same with the length of Easy Way Out. It ANNOYS ME! ARGH!

  • I really love the album,

I'll get my ass over to the music store a.s.a.p !

    You really deserve to enlarge.

Love the voice, especially in 'Somebody That I used to Know'

the fact that there's NO ONE not liking this, speaks for itself, right ?

Thanks for the inspiration, keep on making music!

  • @MargotBeerten It was totally the same way with his last album, too. He writes music that appeals to literally EVERY demographic. That's talent!

  • I love 2:26. We'll always be watching you.

  • Loving the sound that comes in at 1min 40sec. Does anyone know what it is/where it's from? It seems so familiar that it's bugging me that I can't pick it!

  • @flamerobyn

I'd hate to put a finger on what synth but you would get something similar from an Access Virus, or from a soft synth NI's Massive? It's not just a synth though its a layer of lots of sounds together. I'd try getting a fat multi osc saw wave and do a sweep with the cutoff, then layer over some filtered white noise and some extra goodness and add some reverb to thicken!

    Sounds like a recipie haha!

  • @audioofthegame 303? i love this synth sound too, reminds me alot of Aphex Twin's - W32.Mydoom.AU

    watch?v=X6bKm21tSg8

Listen to the song from about the 7:00 minute mark, you'll get the idea,

  • one of my favorites

  • Was the best song/ Animation. Gotye @ Graphics 2011 @ Sydney Opera House.

  • Anybody else think some of this sounds similar to NIN?

  • @RyanBullivant Dude some of Wally's vox remind me of maynard. Instant step up on the caliber scale.
