of course, since MMOs are based on table tops, they use pretty much the same sort of advancement and conflict resolution systems so there will ALWAYS be a close resemblance between the two and there's no reason not to use things one or the other has learned.

not to mention that the first time someone tried to play a warlord, the MMO's servers would commit suicide...and players would cry tears over the healing surge limits....

Let's see, the original version of the game came out in 1974, Basic D&D was brought out in 1977 and Advanced Dungeons and Dragons came out in 1979.

Basic D&D was then revised in 1981 and became somewhat mechanically simpler with some of the classic races being optional classes.

AD&D 2nd edition came out in 1989.

3rd Edition came out in 2000

3.5 came out in 2003

And 4e came out in 2008...

This means that there's an average of just over 5 years between new edition.

A year ago, GamerZer0 uploaded a video in which he interviewed D&D game designer, James Wyatt. GamerZer0 asked him about what kinds of questions he was getting asked by players regarding 4th edition. James Wyatt replied that the most common question was "When is 4.5 coming out?" That's where I got the idea for that joke. Yes, I realize that it's a *slight* exaggeration.

Hey, what miniatures terrain are you using? It looks great! All I have for my minis are those cheap D&D starter kit tiles, a chess board and a 16x16 grid I made on a box lid.

I mainly use D&D Dungeon Tiles. I surround them with Dwarven Forge Mastermaze wall pieces that I turn backwards.

Dwaven forge rocks! But you can also find Mage Knight 3D Terrain. It's kinda hard to find and not quite as high of quality, but the artifacts set is easy to find and cheap on ebay, and is high quality resin on par with dwarven forge. The artifacts set also comes with random loot and trap tables.
