  • Ummm this song has like one tiny part thats the same as inis mona...

  • @Innoxiaful It's from a folk tune.

  • God this brings back memories! Winchester (England;-)) in the early '70s. Superb stuff at the time - Alan was one of the few 'continental' folk musicians we were aware of at the time, and he was a refreshing change occasionally from all our home-grown beloveds. All power to him!

  • When it comes to folk music you cant "steal" anything. There are lots and lots of folk tunes with the same melody and different lyrics and titles etc. :D

  • actually this song is a traditional irish chant so they both stole it :P

  • yes eluveitie stole it...but inis mona is great, i love both versions.

  • @XenyaXenesthis

They didn't steal it. They borrowed a popular folk tune, and added their own lyrics.

  • @th3warr1or Just like Jezaig, which is basically Jizaique.

  • o_O what the hell? This is the same tune as inis mona

  • Yeah I know,

Manau - La Tribu De Dana is another song with the same tune.

Many songs with the tune in it haha.

  • What other songs use this tune? When I heard Inis Mona the melody was so familiar, but I can't find where from. i found this and La Tribu De Dana while searching, but have never heard them before so that can't be where I've heard it before...

  • This song is ancient. Alan Stivell covered it but unfortunately as much as i love Eluvaite they ripped this tune off without crediting. There like 50 other bands that used this tune.

Tri martolod this song come from a celtic melody from the bretons today is called Bretagne this is in France ;P

  • @crazya6565 Its a folk tune, its used in many songs and genres. If you listen closely to the Slania record they have used many celtic traditional folk melodies. Its awesome!

  • @crazya6565 This is the original, genius.

  • @yuobuten I agree, I am a genius. Thank you for the compliment good sir. and Yes, I am aware that it's the original. Lol Fucking tard.

  • @crazya6565 Much like what Korpiklaani did with the song "Wooden Pints." They took an old folk song and metalized it. Look up the song "Säckpipslåt" by Azam Ali and compare it to "Wooden Pints."

  • @crazya6565 You know, this ong is very much older that the Inis mona's song... ^^'

  • @Baaltazar Rofl for the 50th time, I know. My comment was posted a year ago xD

  • @crazya6565 Muahahaha, you haven't paid enough !!! xD

  • @crazya6565 Inis Mona is a version of Tri Martolod, I think.

  • I used to listen to this in 1973.

  • kudos man for nice clean version :)
