,,,i was undecided about hank untill this,,,but after hearing every other version trying to sound like gary moore ,,,this is truly original ,,,no big distortion or sustains ,,,,just hanks own take on it,,,,,now i'm convinced... sometimes less really is more! ,knophler,,,cale,,,clapton all unique because of this,,,you can't sacrifice effects on a guitar for feeling

I really like Hank as a guitarist but how does he rate with other guitarists like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Slash, Dave Murray, Brian May etc etc. Any comments?

Sorry Hank but it doesn't sound right on a strat. You really need the humbuckers of a gibson for the sound.

The arguement is always "The Shadows or Gary Moore" ?

Depending on your taste in guitar style, I would imagine...

Though the tempo and melodic changes make for a wonderful Shadows version, Moore's version is more powerful and emotional...

To me, if you take part 1 of the Shads' version (up to the break), and take part 2 of Moore's "Blues Alive" version (the endless note on), you have the ultimate version of "Parisienne Walkways"...

This is A cute clip. I love this little girls way to give them the flowers. And Hanks funny coments as always : ) Great clip , I wonder if this is from a dutch television clip in the late 70´ties. The Shadows plays this version much better than Gary Moore. Much more expressive , and fits Hanks Guitar style better than Moores.
