what was the point of lola f1 in 97? didnt qualify then pulled out of f1!! that was the first race of the season!

@TheShepster80 they were meant to enter in 98 but their main sponsor Mastercard forced them to enter a season early. They only did 1 race because they were so far off the pace

@gerryff @TheShepster80 not only this, the way the team was funded was fans would buy a lola f1 credit card from mastercard, and when the fan used the card, the team would get a percentage. But obviously, after this race, no one wanted to know. From what I understand, they went to Brazil and were in the garage and Mastercard pulled out. A shame really.
