No offense but the old one was more screen accurate car and robot also had the axelzuka thing. granted the old one didn't have a great range of posability but it didn't have big shoulders like the back of a car

I haven't figured out how the torso parts and arms clip together, the just come together after the crotch piece is snapped on. The shoulder kibble is appaling, impossible.

Other than that cool figure.

As for Hot Shot, I do like this figure and the car mode is pretty cool but that back kibble is a pain in the ass.

Hopefully some modifying can fix that.

Well, after tearing through my extra parts I finally found some guns for this guy to hold which turn put to be the guns for two KO devastators I have. the good thing is the fact that they fit, but the bad thing is they only work as guns for his hands. You should give them a try since I remember you having some KO combiners

i've tried sticking in all sorts of guns from my stock--from G1 to KOs, but none of them fit. i think i'll be getting the henkei version of him

I could not agree with you more.. This guy is way under-rated. It's got just the right level of transformation for a deluxe and he's super posable if you're willing to take your time with the back kibble. I'm glad I picked it up. Great review as always.

i think some of the reviewers who'd gotten hold of the pre-release figures of him were a bit impatient and just didn't tinker enough with the figure. but the single hot shot listing on BBTS says it's sold out. so i guess a lot of fans were willing to give the figure a chance.

Thanks for sharing the review. Kinda changed my mind on the figure.

But I'm tempted to get the Henkei version just for the two guns he has that the Universe version doesn't. But that one doesn't have funny the jaam license plate. I may just nab the Universe one after all, it has been on sale locally recently.

no prob. yeah, those chrome guns on the henkei are really a tempting offer. i'm saving for a henkei dinobot first, since i'm not getting the universe dinobot, then i might consider the henkei hot rod/hot shot
