1.) America is NOT a Democracy it is a Democratic-Republic. which is actually a form of a Republic and not necessarily a Democracy.
2.) the president and the governor are elected through different settings. (though Gore won popular vote he lost electoral votes which is all that really adds in the end. also a Governor is NOT elected via electoral seats but specifically by popular vote.

When ACORN allowed/encouraged them to register in more than 1 jurisdiction it allowed them to vote multiple times.
