do your research before you make comment like this. Leevan never test positive for performance enhancing drugs you idiot. He made a simple mistake by using a vicks inhaler. Anyone could have made that little mistake. His own people dealt with the situation poorly. The Bahamas federation suspended him. Therefore he suffered big time. He could have easily given up but instead he was determined to win this Olympic medal and he did it. He overcame all the adversities against him (yall).
my research tells me he got done for using an illegal drug. show me where it says a vicks inhaler is performance enhancing mate. your full of shit, he got done for cheating and thats that
stupid, search Levomethamphetamine . stop trying to give the man a bad name. he is not a cheater. as a matter a fact look at what he has been doing before that lil stupid mistake dummy. he always bin good and still is. He will still always be one of the best jumpers of all times.
a) drawing a long bow with "one of the greatest of all time". his best is mid 17's and he got a bronze medal. b) he took a performance enhancing drug c) you still havent given me any proof
Thanks, Sweetkiwi, for the great comments! I wish I had taken the opportunity to ask him more questions on video, but I didn't want to intrude on him. He was very gracious to speak to me on this chance encounter, and you are right...he is a Superman!!! Perhaps if I ever get a chance to go to the Bahamas, he will do a follow-up interview with me. Congratulations!
As divinelady said thank you for showcasing one of our bahamian athletes. It shows that we as a nation are moving forward especially to be ranking up there with countries who have millions and even billions of citizens it shows more than words can described and it is an amazing feeling.Go Superman!!!!!
I was so fortunate to meet such a fine person as Leevan Sands. He was very gracious in agreeing to be on the video, and you could tell how excited he was to have won the Bronze medal. He also had mentioned that he was in the Olympics in Athens four years ago and didn't make the top three, so it was especially nice that he was able to win a medal for your country. He is a wonderful example of a fine athlete. Congratulations!
Thank you so muck for highlighting one of our prodigious Bahamian athletes. We all love Leevan in The Bahamas and are ever so proud of him!!!! He won the first medal for our country at this year's Olympics....and we are so proud that our Super Man, who came from a country of just over 300,000 people, has emerged as the third best triple jumper in the whole entire world....Thanks for the vid!!!
hes a great jumper, but i think his record is abit tainted by the fact he got done for using performance enhancing drugs early 2006
