  • is there anything u havent used as art?

  • i love how he takes the simplest things that many people think is worthless/useless and turn it into a piece of art

  • worlds best snow fort #1

  • that would be so much fun to jump though, man, you art is awesome though

  • Why does he destroy itt.

  • cuz its goodbye art thats why its called

  • why couldn't he just let the snow melt? its still goodbye art, but then more people would be able to enjoy it before it was destroyed.

  • lol i coouldnt think of anything cooler than knocking over a wall of snow, with a face on it

  • kinda sad he destroys every artwork he makes LOL

  • If you know something isn't going to be there for long, it makes you appreciate it even more :)

  • HAHAHAHA U make perfect sense...

But it would be nice if I were to keep one of his artworks... damn so tight... and so short...

  • Yeh, would be nice to be able to keep one of his pieces. He is giving the Secrets Head away, from his latest video :) Enter the competition and you never know.

I only know about Ephemeral art (goodbye art) because I'm an art student myself and spent all last year studying it. It's awesome :D

  • I dont think he destroys all of his artwork.. Just the ones he labels as "Goodbye Art"

  • OH WOW!!!

incredible! how did you get the snow to stay like that???

  • I wondered what would happen if some extra snow fell off before you were done, then you started patching the wall. so yeah, always a step ahead of my thoughts...

  • holy shiit dude u got nice work ur so creative . man how much for ur work....

  • kind of sad you got rid of your art.. but i won't lie- it looks like terrible fun

  • well... the destroying of it is part of the art-ness of it... im not sure why but it is

thats why its called goodbye art

  • ¥T

  • Damn Phil, this is some artistic shit!

  • awesome!!!!

  • Man. I wish I would´ve thought of that. Although there isn´t much snow nowdays here in southern Sweden during winter (damn global warming).

Next time there´s alot of snow to my disposal I shall try this too. I really loved the idea. Two thumbs up on that piece.

    Hope he´s okay.

  • hope your brother in law is safe and that you have been able to show him this video

  • Ha! Clever, great, wish you left standing it a big longer ... the 40 degree temps would have done interesting things to it.

  • you are such an inspiration to me. your work is amazing and your talent- man i dont know many people who can create something so beautiful and lifelike with such many different objects. keep it up!

  • Phil, What's been up? Your site has been rather sparse on the updates. I note some legal crap? Ick! Hope all is well.

  • That was so bomb! I love your work, you shoulda exploded it with like a canon or something haha, like you would have a random canon lying around. So cool, Jimi Hendrix is still my fav, and I missed the special limited signed version of it by like a day or two =( Oh well I still enjoy it very much keep it up!

why do you have to be so flippin good?

  • It's just awesome, as always. Keep it up!

  • should of melted it

  • Every video that you make should be featured. As a guy that isn't too artsy, I can't even comprehend how you do these things. You deserve more than these 5000 views. Absolutely brilliant.

  • Yes, i'm not an art fan, but I love Phil's work.

  • i looooooooooooved the final message: GOODBYE ART IS BACK!!!!!!

  • Welcome back Phil...wish it was under happier times. Maybe when your brother-in-law comes back we can see a welcome home art project destroyed as well :D Good luck to him and your sister as welland wishing safe returns!

    Well done with the snow!

  • I keep on saying it; you ARE truly AMAZING! Damn! Well, I sure hope your brother-in-law comes back OK! You know, we don't even have snow here.. we had one day snow and that wasn't even halve of an inch! By the way, you kinda.. fell nasty at the end ._.''

  • Great!!

I agree with the melting idea!!!

  • cool, man ! hope he stays okay.

  • how long did it take u to do it?

  • goodbye art is back!!!!

    yay!

  • I love the symbolising in you art - in this case sacrificing the art to protect family. I hope it keeps him safe!

  • We are all thinking of your brother-in-law. May god watch over him and your family.

  • Strangely enough I found the destruction disturbing, since you made a point of mentioning a relative of yours was to go to Iraq: destruction begets destruction. As a creative person why didn't you timelapse camera shoot the melting of the face?

  • i thought the same way too...it'll be cool to see a fastforward video of the snow melting under the sun. but great work as always phil. ;]

  • I'm sorry to hear that. I hope he gets to see this too. Peace to everyone, everywhere.

  • great work! And I wish your brother in law and your families well. Good luck and Godspeed.

  • Great idea! I would like to see more goodbye art with snow! And very good music for the art piece!

  • We missed you! This was a 10 star art project very cool!

  • LOVE all your work!

  • you should have left it there till it melted or fell apart on its own.

but its great to have you back dude :D

  • Glad to have you back. How did you create this snow canvas? From the angle that you destroyed it from, it looked very smooth as if it had been pressed up against something. Care to share your secret?

My thoughts and prayers are with your brother-in-law...I know how hard that can be to see someone leave and not know if they're going to come back.

  • Yay!

  • would have been cool to see a time lapse of it melting, instead of destroying it.

  • so glad you brought it back. your genius is evident in every piece you have done. thank you for sharing your amazing gift with us!

  • My cousin is there for his second time...Tell your brother I said good luck!!!

  • Woah!

I was bored and was clicking through my favorates and decided to go to your site, because I haven't seen any of your work in a while. I saw this there, and then I come to Youtube, and POOF!

    Here it is.

    Coincedence?
