Anyone considering this type of training, well, all I can say is BRING MONEY, lots of money. You can expect to pay more than twice the advertised prices for the courses. Private Pilot will cost you in excess of $28,000. Instrument will cost you $30,000+. Then if you get your certificate, you cannot take up passengers until you've flown 15 hours which will set you back $300/hour. Bottom line: Prohibitively expensive!!! unless you plan to fly for hire or have a very large income.
Nice vid peter, the place hasnt changed much since my time there, JAA 2 back in the day...I see the old stalwarts are still alive and kicking Martin has joined the team, some new faces and new machines. Good Times !!!! I wonder if Allan still tells the story of the gazelle that botched an auto and went up over the hedge and zoomed past his classroom when he was in the army....
im at bristow acadamy atm, its funny to watch this video, as it was the one that inspired me througout my atpl ground exams!
just watching the footage, nothing has changed since the video was made and now, it could be any day in the life of a student out here, from the daulphins flying in for the shuttle launch, to the solo work down at delta.
Great vid. Good to see there`s some fun involved in the course despite the tons of studying and training. Looking forward to my training there in 2010 :-)
great video Peter, I was in JAA26 and its soo good to see it. Love it.
