I always loved their harmony...absolutely beautiful. I was only ever annoyed when Chynna would do the squeeky through the nose thing....I'm so glad she stopped doing that, it was a little suprising given her background and they sound much better without it.

I don't care what they look like. I don't care who their famous parents were. These ladies can lay it down. Tighter harmony than this is not humanly possible. they have nuance, passion, and utter mastery. Sure, it's not the most AOR lyric in the world, but it's not meant to be Leonard Cohen. for what it is, it's as good as it gets. And I'm a 62 year old male professional musician who doesn't play anything remotely resembling this. Props are props, and Wilson Phillips get mine.

I don't know what they are up to now, but the middle one is Chynna Phillips. Daught of Michelle Phillips of the Mamas and Papas. She is married to a Baldwin brother. The other two are Carrnie and Wendy Wilson. Daughters of Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. The group had a reunion in 2004. Thats the last I've seen of them.

Millions of people bought music made by all sorts of pop artists that weren't neccessarily talented, or made good music.

Mariah Carey has a decent voice, but it doesn't compare to the voice of a Linda Ronstadt or a Barbra Streisand's.

Her music isn't memorable like Diana Ross's or Aretha Franklin's.

Even Whitney Houston, whose body of music isn't that great, has some classic songs.

Harmony was still in in the early 1990s. This group and another "girl group" En Vogue had the best harmonies since Abba.

Whitney Houst ( a great voice) and Mariah Carey ruined pop music for females by setting the example of waling and over whelimng the songs. Then Celine came and that was the end of it.
