FUCKING awesome ,. u are so talented after watching this I feel if i never could have played the piano ... oh fuck if I watch this im not getting jealous , just sad that im really bad in playing piano
Hey Sherry! (this is Jason from IIYM a longggg time ago) I just discovered this piece like yesterday, and I stumbled over this! I wanna play this piece so bad, and also deciding whether to learn it now or when I go to college (I'm applying to Northwestern too!). Is this piece is hard? It seems very tiring :P
@dubblebubble898 Hey Jason, long time no chat! It's a pain to sightread, but it's really not that much harder than some of our standard repertoire. It would be really cool if you played it for your college auditions, the professors here knows this piece really well since I've played it for them so many times. XD Remind me what grade you're in right now? It would be so cool if you got into Northwestern!
Fuck yeah Kapustin! I learned Etude 6 a few years ago and performed it last year, it's amazing! I'm currently working on Etude 1 and gaaaaah it's so much fun!!!
So back to this wonderful music that I'm hearing. You win, hard! If I had to make a single suggestion I would say try to bring out the bass more, but seriously, this is on its way to being fucking great!
@Fantasiex3 Awesome!!! maybe you should upload a few sometime... :P Which one do you hate the most? Apparently Horowitz refused to play Op. 10, No. 1 in public. Have you ever attempted Liszt's transcendental etudes or etudes de Paganini? :D
So I sat down to learn it, and man you make it look so easy. Especially the part with the right hand doing two rhythms at once, and you manage to bring out the melody there perfectly well. Sooo good!
This just goes to show and is a perfect example of NEVER GIVE UP! Look how well she played it in the video! Absolutely perfect performance! GREAT JOB I LOVED IT!

O_O!! you did about as well as youtube user fredericrouel did...i'd only say watch your tempo, as it appears that you are rushing somewhat. this is surely a gem, however.
WOW! Probably the best version of this I've ever heard. That speed completely changes the whole thing, and you're perfectly comfortable with it. Congratulations! :D
I'm supposed to play all the etudes in a concert tomorrow but now I'm starting to think I shouldn't play that one, and try to "relearn" it and emulate your style... >_>
Hey sherry is it possible to just tell me the title of the book so i can order it...? I'm not trying to necessarily ask for sheets since I'm gonna buy it myself.
But other than that.. how is this possible to play! Lol
It's still amazing no matter how many times I watch it. :D Absolutely amazing! I was wondering, what time signature is it in? I can't quite put my finger on it since it's so freakin fast. xD
I am SO HAPPY to find that someone else in Chicago who is working on this piece. It rocks! I am still working on getting my head, not mention my hands, around it.

Keep playing ! Don't give up! These pieces are JUST THE BEST THING TO HAVE HAPPENED TO PIANO PLAYERS EVERYWHERE!!
Now I am also listening to Opus 40 number 5 .... The Fats Waller sections seem like so much fun.
Wow, that was...amazingly amazing...and it seems like such a hard piece too - wouldn't be surprised if it really took you that many retakes, lol:D Love your playing, and this piece too!!!^^
By any chance, did you hear about this piece from Chelsea? I heard her play this 2 weeks ago...and...you know paul?!?!?! Funny how all of us know each other xD You're the only one I haven't met in real life yet! I had the same teacher as paul and now the same as chelsea :P
By the way, really great job! Hehe, I'm learning this too at the moment. I can really tell how much you enjoy playing it ^^
uuuggghhh I give up too... my temporal lobe can't take much more of this awesomesauce piano playing... now excuse me while I go pick my jaw up off the ground. great job fanasiex3, looking so forward to ur next video
Wow, super. You make it look so damn easy! I"m working on #2, which I think is not nearly as challenging. (Or maybe its challenges are just different, I can't tell yet.) Would love to hear you play #7. (P.S....loved the outtake at the end, I SO get that!)

@UltimaXG2 His concert etudes were published in the 1980's. He is a contemporary composer. You can even find recordings of him playing his own concert etudes on YouTube.
Excellent. Handled delicately with perfect syncopated essence. Bravo. :)

Very impressive. You're an excellent player. The piece itself is reminiscent of Gershwin, with all that syncopation.

@UltimaXG2 His concert etudes were published in the 1980's. He is a contemporary composer. You can even find recordings of him playing his own concert etudes on YouTube.
