to help orangutan conservation-

1)only buy sustainable palm oil products! 1 in 10 products from supermarkets have palm oil in them, the majority are NOT sustainable.

2) write to the EU food standards team to make sure that laws come in so that palm oil is labelled as "palm oil" rather than vegetable oil.

for info:

palm oil plantations are planted over recently deforested areas in Borneo (where the bornean orangutan is found) even though there is already non-rainforested land available!

what a great programme; it's heartbreaking what's happening to these amazing animals.
