it's a part that reduces back pressure from the turbo and doesn't allow much air to be released from the exhaust,when you let off the gas... it's the same thing as a jay brake. 18wheelers have them

Exhaust brakes actually INCREASE backpressure and it totally differant (NOT THE SAME) as a jake brake on an 18 wheeler

Sounds more like the warm up valve. A lot of powerstrokes have a valvle that closes to warm up the engine faster.

7.3 powerstrokes have warmup valves . the 6.0 in this video does not
