I lived in coastal areas of Alaska, and he probably could have dug some calms. In Juneau we would do it in winter months to be safe. But I have done it in summer without red tide problems.

wouldn't there be an abundance of shellfish at low tide he could collect? i've seen ray mears in alaska and i'm sure he said there's plenty to be had in the summer.
how do we know if he's not cheatin' on us? we should've checked his bag before he went to do his survivor thing. He might have some food stocked on his bag..

@Lordofhellx yeah and whats cool is les stroud does 99% of the music.. because before he learned survival skills he was a professional touring musician and stuff.. even in the beginning it says music by les stroud or something like that.. hes amazing at the harmonica and hes also an amazing guitar player and he can sing.. he does the weird sound effects.. hes talented lol
