I wonder why the audience would laugh at Michael for staying at $0.60 (at 09:18). I have no clue why the audience would even be less thrilled that day than normal tapings. Were they less thrilled just in these segments?
You were getting 9 to 1 on your money for a 33% random shot and it was very easy that the product on the right was not it. 50% you had and you quit getting nine to one?
it was a terrible play to keep 1K with the pot odds of 9 to 1 on his money. I thought the cleaner would have been a lot more and a chocolate bar and 2 Klondikes.. LOL it was funny to see a stop. It is like taking the terrible deal on deal or no deal in the early rounds
A few? years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
I remember watching this episode and if memory serves me, the list of games that were played in order were Barker's bargain bar, Grand Game, 10 Chances, Race game, Money game and Cliff Hangers.
Rarely does anyone bail out in Grand Game. I've seen a few bailouts, but most of the time when they're given the chance to go for $10K instead of taking the $1K and leaving, they'll go.
If you listen carefully at 2:17, there are four contestants bidding when Bob Barker says "And we're gonna present that whole thing to the THREE of you..." LOL, why leave the fourth contestant out?!?!?!
Bob says "We are going to present that whole thing to the one of you three who bids nearest to the actual retail price without going over." He meant that to say "to the one of you four who bids nearest to the actual retail price without going over."
is this 1992 i was wondering it is?

You would think they'd made the coverup sign bigger -- if it's raised a little off the ground you KNOW it's going to be the Grand Game.

EVERYONE WAS WRONG!!!!! No one said the fire logs!! He played it right.
bdwriley 4 years ago 2
Well said. Even under 1992 prices, there's no way I'd have expected those fire logs to be less than $2.50. You played it right to get the money.
