Actually I'm going to disagree with you. I listened to the song, because I'm willing to admit if there's a better of the two, and although it may be an impressive tempo, Yeung doesn't play constant 16ths for longer than maybe 2 or 3 seconds at any point in the song. Now, I'm not sure what you think he's better at than Derek Roddy, but endurance is obviously not where his strength lies. If you listen to King of all Kings, for example, Roddy plays at those tempos for the duration of the songs.

i know this sounds stupid. but i know that when drummers use 2 feet during blasts, they hit the snare with the bass drum a lot of the time. is derek alternating his snare and bass drum during the one footed blasts or doing them at the same time?

Whenever Derek is using only one foot on the bassdrum that means he is usually played a "traditional single foot blast" meaning that his bassdrum and snare are alternating..whenever he has his right hand playing the snare and hes playing the bassdrums with two feet he is playing a "bomb blast"
