I'm guessing that Robert Crumb likes the "shelf effect" because his greatest thrill is getting women to give him piggyback rides. The "shelf" created by a woman's protruding butt forms a kind of a seat, preventing Crumb from sliding off the woman's back when he rides them around.

I agree with robert on the "shelf" effect. I love a woman with a large round ass. as for breasts i differ (robert can take or leave 'em) in that I like large ones (d cup and up). this is mainly because my first girlfriend was very well endowed and kind of got that stuck in my head.
