  • @Trundlebedtales Joan does an awesome job at everything there, I know because I work there and she showed me what to do when I work there! I can't wait until summer so I can work there again :)

  • @TheSquishybutt yes this is in DeSmet!! and I know it wasn't that long ago I said I wanted to visit there again, but I actually work there now!! it is so so so much fun working there, as much fun as it is to visit there!!

  • What a cute video! This sweet little girl made such a cute little pioneer girl. She is so cute in her little pink and white dress. It seems like such a nice place to visit, especially for children. I would love to visit Laura's homestead if I ever get a chance to go there.

  • Wonderfull video!!! Thank you for sharing with us. Silly question, is this the Homestead in De Smet? I live in Scotland, but one day I will get to LIW country.

  • The Ingalls Homestead is always a great time. Joan does such a great job in Ma's house. They have so many hands on activities on the Ingalls Homestead.

  • Cute!! I remember making all that stuff, except my rope was 1/4 the size. I didn't make a doll though. Do they always have kittens? When I was there we climbed up the loft to find kittens. What was that in the grass by the horse?

I don't live too far from the homestead, yet I've only been there once and it was half my life ago! I want to go back soon, real soon!

  • This is SO great you did this!! I loveeeeeeeee LHOTP so so much I wish I had a lil girl to do this with. So cute when she said I think it's a moose too cute! ty for posting

  • @firefwi When I have kids I'm bringin them there, I know how much fun it is and I want them to know, too. maybe I'll even bring my nieces and nephews there.

  • okay out on a claim shanty the kid wouldn't be wearing an apron that nice but she sure is cute

  • The video is intended to depict the vacation experience that can be yours if you visit the Ingalls Homestead, not true to form life in 1885. :) And on vacation in modern day life, the child did indeed wear an apron that nice on the claim shanty. Played in Plum Creek with it on too and kept it nice and clean. She's a careful child. :)

  • I love this video! I'm a fan of Ingalls family..Please, post more of these!

  • This is pretty cool! I live about a mile from the Homestead.
