The problem is if you're applying to a jazz program they want to hear you play to the chords, meaning over a B7 you're outlining a B7 chord and over an Amaj7 you would outline that. You're soloing wasn't bad, but it was more of a pentatonic "rock" approach, which won't get you in to a jaz program. Listen to some jazz players, learn some 2-5-1 lines, and get some books on jazz soloing and memorize some solos. Especially look at Charlie Parker lines. Good luck.
