  • I love those that want to be Archies not knowing all those years one of the main points of the show was to show what a dope he was

  • Archie would have his own show on Fox now days.

  • God bless America We hope

  • Archie '12

  • was this the latter season of all in the family or was this during archie bunkers place

  • I find it hilarious that this video is being used by Republicans to prove their point. Archie Bunker was written by a liberal to make fun of how dumb some of your views truly are. Guess it'll just never sink in.

  • What was truth then... is truth today.

  • I don't see too many people bitching about paying 50 dollars for a damn pasta dinner at a restaurant when you can make it yourself for 8 bucks. I don't see people bitching and moaning very much about paying 150 bucks for concert tickets. I don't see people bitching about paying 7 bucks for a hot dog at the ball park. But you get really pissed if someone is making 20 bucks an hour and has decent benefits.

This country has its priorities fucked up.

  • The Banking Act of 1933, enacted June 16, 1933, was a law that established the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in the United States and introduced banking reforms.

Provisions that prohibit a bank holding company from owning other financial companies WERE REPEALED on November 12, 1999, by the Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act, named after its co-sponsors Phil Gramm (R, Texas), Rep. Jim Leach (R, Iowa), and Rep. Thomas J. Bliley, Jr. (R, Virginia). ALL REPUBLICANS

  • The deregulation also removed conflict of interest prohibitions between investment bankers serving as officers of commercial banks. This repeal directly contributed to the severity of the Financial crisis of 2007–2011 by allowing Wall Street investment banking firms to use their depositors' money that was held in the commercial banks.

  • 137 congressional Democrats saw this.

  • Bring back the Glass Steagall Act to fix Bill Clintons fuckup

  • I got dat Archie Bunker

  • So, ask yourself this question. Do you really think these god damn companies are passing on the savings that they reap from paying and exploiting slave labor in Communist China and Communist Vietnam onto the consumer, or do you think that just maybe they are more interested in the share holder making more money for themselves?

What is wrong with someone making 20 dollars an hour and some benefits if they have contributed to the success of a company over the years?

    GO UNIONS!

  • When did democrats become the liberals and republicans become the conservatives? Back in the day wasn't it the other way around?

  • Comment removed

  • You're absolutely right. I should not have called him a Dunce. How about stupid ass. Does that sound better.

  • Dennis, I am sorry to dissappoint you, but we were in Vietnam under the Eisenhower administration who got us involved.

Maybe if your dunce President Ronald Reagan would not have set his objectives to destroy the middle-class, Unions and decent pay and benefits, you would not have people looking to feed themselves out of garbage cans.

It amazes me how Republicans criticize poor people and have no compassion except when they have to go fight your wars while you sit on your asses.

  • @IngloriusBastard11 I don't have anything against you speaking your mind, but please don't call Ronald Reagan a dunce. Please show some respect. After all, many consider him to be one of the greatest presidents this country has ever had.

  • @IngloriusBastard11 unions, why companies outsource, so they don't have to pay a guy $20+ an hour. Obama's pro-union, of course he's a fucking socialist too.

  • Carroll O'Connor was a Liberal in real life. The fact that people actually believed he was a Conservative bigot is a testament to his acting skills and the skilled writers on the show.

  • @ApocalypsePlough One thing I've noticed is that right wingers don't understand satire. It goes right over their heads. Also, right wing comedy tends to be rather lame (e.g., "American Carol"). Unfortunately good comedy requires nuance that is missed in right wing thought, which tends toward reductionism and demonization. I suppose it shouldn't come as a surprise then that they don't understand that Archie Bunker was a satirical view of Conservatives in American politics.

  • Anybody read up on him on wikipedia?CarrollO'Connor . I did,he was an actor,he wasn't really a bigot he just played one on TV.

  • See, this is a prime example of how Republican's think. Archie Bunker was made out to be a racist, blame-it-on-the-liberals, stupid ass. And conservatives thought he was a real person who believed in all this bullshit...lol. Norman Lear, who developed the program, is about as liberal as they get, yet here you have Republican's making comments as though Archie Bunker should run for President...lol. I have a suggestion. Archie should run because the candidates you have now don't have a chance

  • @IngloriusBastard11 we have a long way till the election you might be eating your words in November! remember g bush number 1 he had a 90% approval rating in 1991 what happened? i rest my case!

  • @IngloriusBastard11 Heh it's true. One just has to look at the current crop of Republicans at the primaries and the things they say are almost indistinguishable from the things Archie Bunker says. Like Archie Bunker they see their belligerence and bigotry as a strength. Life truly is imitating art (or in this case: farce).

  • Still applies today... yep

  • It's COMEDY people...lighten up!

  • All he didnt say that was correct was obamas name

  • The libs who did that show had Archie make points that made sense while making him sound dumb. It was the liberals in media taking shots at conservatives as they still do. Notice house Riener's character always has to be so elitist and self righteous?

  • This can conservative make a logical argument without ad hominem attacks?

  • Archie bunker for president! My dad said that years ago, he was right!

  • Name calling and profane language, obviously you speak from vast wealth of knowledge.

  • I notice that you only name call and use profanity. Who is ignorant? Please, educate us fools. What part if that isn't true? I know that the senator from my state was in the kkk and I couldn't stand him, but that didn't stop the dems from honoring him at his memorial, including our principled president.

  • damn freemasons

  • Exactly MetalDetoit, the dems are always the ones who are in control at start of war. Then act like rep are the ones who start them. It's the same with race. Dems act like they own the race card. When in fact the rep party was started to fight slavery, it was "extremists" reps who were killed in south along with blacks, and it was dems who fought and died to keep slavery and then fought for segregation. Now they've got majority of minorities that dems are party for them.

  • @Rams495 You have no concept of personal research of basic American history.

You are ignorant, and obviously willing to take up any piece of drivel that is tossed your way.

I could mindfuck you so good ;)

  • @Rams495 perhaps you have forgotten one small fact, George W Bush started the Iraq war under false pretenses. Weapons of Mass Destruction my red, white, and blue butt. he started it to get control of oil, hey btw obama has gotten us 50% less dependant on foreign oil. obama didn't start the recession, that was W's as well. so before you accept whatever a republican gives you instead of him flushing it on down, check your facts bubba

  • @denniswilsonfan Perhaps you have forgotten that the Vietnam War was started by JFK - one of the bloodiest and most pointless wars in American History. Perhaps you have forgotten that JFK also established many of the welfare programs that initiated the entitlement state that this country is faced with today such as food stamps and Medicare, which still remains fiscally unsustainable and breeds a consensus of influencing people to depend upon government handouts on a regular basis.

  • @slvrserfr also do not forget korea.

  • @slvrserfr Our involvement in Vietnam was not just a product of Cold War geopolitics but also American domestic politics. Just as it is today with terrorism, we had Republicans back then - like Nixon and McCarthy - eager to prove how rabidly anti-Communist they were. They pushed presidents - both Democrat and Republican - to act. Your 20/20 hindsight makes it easy to denounce these decisions, but people like you should have stood up and denounced these fascists but instead were cowed by fear.

  • @gnomechomskylives I see you learned your history in a public liberal indoctrination school. Eisenhower(R) warned Kennedy(D) against sended troops to Vietnam. At the time we were giving aid and only had advisors there. But Kennedy sent combat troops in. Johnson(D) escalated it. Nixon(R) ended it, after Johnson screwed it all up. I'd say your hindsight is 80/80.

BTW Chomsky is an anti-capitalist, America hating Communist and you idolize him. Fuckin idiot.

  • @naordie

Wow you have got to be shitting me. I just finished a required history class in college, not a "public liberal school", and you clearly do not know ANYTHING about the history of the West's involvement in Indo-china. U.S. troops arrived as early as the late 1940's to assist the French attempts to control Vietnam in the first Indochina War.. When this failed, the US meddled again in the 1954 Geneva accords, splitting the country in half and prevented the general election from happening

  • @GnomesAmok

Nixon did this DESPITE this AGGRESSIVE support of intervention in Vietnam before the war, and pressuring Kennedy to BEGIN the war. So I don't know where you get this half-baked notion that the democrats were responsible for the Vietnam war, or indeed the policy of anti-communism at all. What exactly is your point? To be consistent, I would imagine that you ARE anti-communist, and that you SUPPORT the policies adopted in the 40s-80's - including the Vietnam War!

  • @GnomesAmok Fuckin A, who was president in 1962? Kennedy or Nixon? Everytime a Democrats fucks up, it's the Republican's fault. Everytime a Republican fucks up, it his own fault. When are you pussy fuckin liberals going to take your own blame? Obama won't. Carter, Kennedy and Clinton didn't. Kiss my ass dickwad, you are rewriting history to justify your ideologies worthless existance. Fuck off Libturd.

  • @naordie

Re-writing history? You must be joking. You are fucking kidding me, right? Who was president in 1959? Who got us in Vietnam in the first place? Who changed the Geneva accords and support Ngo Dinh Diem? Eisenhower. Every word I said could be looked up in a history book by a 10 YEAR OLD, and you think Im re-writing history? Wow. Republicans. Please crack open a book.

  • @GnomesAmok Kennedy DID NOT have to send combat troops. DO NOT BLAME REPUBLICANS for what KENNEDY did! We send advisors everywhere, today we have them in over a dozen countries. I read history, not fuckin libturd fairytales.

Can you fuckin idiots ever own up to our own shit?

  • @naordie It wasn't Kennedy; LBJ made it an American war. While yes it was a Democratic president who made the decision; he HAD NO CHOICE. Listen to the LBJ tapes. He knows he's between a rock and a hard place. Guys like you were waiting for any opportunity to call LBJ a weakling on Communism; Guys like you would have started WW3 instead in your blinkered militarism. Your reactionary philosophy pushed the US into that war.

Just as you pushed us into Iraq and now you want war with Iran.

  • @naordie

So you're telling me in your opinion the Vietnam war shouldn't have been fought, right? That the policy of containment, and even worse REAGAN's policy of ROLLBACK, were wrong?

  • @naordie

The US propped up capitalist dictator Ngo Dinh Diem in the 50's. All this was done under the guise of containment and prevention of communism. All the U.S. involvement paved the groundwork for an inevitable conflict that Kennedy SUCCUMBED to at the risk of appearing "soft on communism", sound familiar? Nixon, funnily enough after all the damage had been done, got friendly with the communists, despite bombing them in secret, with his policy of "detente" while the dust settled.

  • @naordie Funny.Your screed has all the signs of the right wing revisionism: deny, deflect, obfuscate & omit. Project much? FACT:Eisenhower entered Vietnam in 1956 sending 350 men & advisers. Nixon ended it? Nixon wanted to nuke Vietnam in 1960 just like Goldwater. As President, Nixon escalated the war before realizing he couldn't win it.

Righties are so craven; talk tough but get upset when you're on the wrong side of history.

As for Chomsky: he's more of an American than you will ever be.

  • @gnomechomskylives

    Chomsky is a great capitalist.

Without the mindless obedience of followers such as yourself obviously he would not be a millionaire.

While I find his writings dull and uninspired and the fact he quotes himself pompous.

I do appreciate his capitalizing on the left wing goof ball market.

    Cheers.

  • @MrJohanasBilderberg All things being equal, the Right has been much more successful at selling hysteria, jingoism and historical revisionism. To his credit he's been a vocal critic of both sides of the political aisle, which is more that can be said of the commissars of the Right who vociferously denounce anyone who questions their orthodoxy.

If expecting our nation to abide by the same principles of freedom & liberty that it demands of others is "goofball" then I am guilty as charged.

  • @gnomechomskylives

It is all selling a point of view to a willing audience. Toyota sells the point of view that it's cars are safer and more reliable. Budweiser sells the point of view that it's beer makes hot girls flock to you. And Chomsky sells the point of view that somehow America is an evil empire. I just find it ironic that the icons of the Western left decry the evils of capitalism while reaping the millions of benefits from it while the hypocrisy goes unchallenged.

  • @MrJohanasBilderberg You're either putting words in his mouth or hearing what you want to hear. Chomsky isn't anti-capitalist; He's anti-corporatist & anti-imperialist. He lifts the veil of myth of how business is conducted in this country. It's not hypocritical to bring attention to how misaligned our policies are with our principles. We talk about liberty but undermine it abroad to suit the economic interests of the elite. If you listen to him, his views aren't that different from Ron Paul's.

  • @gnomechomskylives If you mean, a pompous self-serving libturd/commie brain dead moronic American, then yes Chomsky is your man.

If you mean a self made, self reliant American who is the father of two Army vets, son of a CG vet and a Navy vet, all of whom have served their counrty and love it, then I guess I am your man.

Advisors? We today have advisors in just about every county imaginable, so advisors are not an escalation. Sending in combat troops is.

  • @naordie lol your foolhardy jingoism is only exceeded by your empty bluster; your name-calling is just further proof that you can't argue facts so you argue epithets.

If you followed Chomsky's work you'd know he's not a communist. His work is clear: he wants an educated and empowered electorate that is no longer swayed by the artificial hysterias fomented by the moneyed interests. This is identical to Thomas Jefferson's belief. I guess he's a commie libturd too.

  • @naordie I remind you of the Cold War; the Domino Theory the prevailing concern. So yes, advisors -while seemingly innocuous- is easily an open door to commitment which IT WAS. Even you cannot be this obtuse.

Can you imagine if JFK/LBJ had abandoned South Vietnam - as corrupt as its president was - to the North? Nixon and the GOP would have had a field day; just as you are now pretending to be a stalwart paragon of restraint when you can't even keep your cool over Chomsky LOL you fail so hard.

  • Archie's the man!

  • Maybe he was "Right"?

  • @seymourdonny8011 And maybe the "Left" will leave in 2012..

  • Carroll O'Connor was a liberal Democrat.

  • @sd31263

I remember reading about that. He was also quite fond of Rob Reiner.

  • @sd31263 You have to laugh at the comments celebrating Archie Bunker; This was a show by Liberals satirizing American politics. Bunker was written to be (per WikiP): an outspoken bigot, prejudiced against everyone, politically conservative and dismissive of anyone not in agreement with his worldview. His ignorance and stubbornness tend to cause his malapropism-filled arguments to self-destruct.

Pretty much describes every right winger on YouTube these days. The joke's on them!

  • @gnomechomskylives everything you just said was comepletely true im a right winger and honestly the youtube republican population makes us look bad

  • @slashisgod9299 Yeah right, a RP follower?

  • @slashisgod9299 I appreciate your honesty. Unfortunately the Conservative movement has been hijacked by the John Birch types. Anything Left of their belief is vilified as Socialist. If they held the Founders to the same standard one would conclude they too were proto-Socialists. They weren't anti-tax and they didn't approach government as a problem; they used government to solve problems. Jefferson supported public ed & Adams signed a healthcare law in 1798. This is all conveniently overlooked.

  • Why is their no longer a cancel buton when writing comments on you tube?

  • archie bunker....the father or eric cartmen

  • @MrMaxrodriguez I wouldn't go that far, Archie is certainly not as horrible as Eric Cartman.

  • @67nairb Archie wouldn't piss on somebody's person like Cartman did in one episode of SOUTH PARK. Archie unlike Cartman was basically a decent man. But SOUTH PARK is a hilarious show nevertheless. Remember an episdode when Cartman's mother tried to dress him up as Adolf Hitler for Halloween?

  • still funny listening to conservatives who think archie bunker is a genius. irony and satire are too complicated for conservatives. lol.

  • It's easy to spot the Dems... They hate America and try to destroy it at every possible turn!

  • @truthinstyle rofl! You weren't thinking! You accidentally wrote Dems instead of Republicans! Not to worry, happens to the best of us!

  • @noreaga12326 Really? Because Republicans take everything like a grain of salt? Please. You think you have the right to bitch about everything, whether it's a woman's right to her own body or a disagreement of religion. And I'm a liberal, thank you very much.

  • Funny how all these delusional republicans think their views are justified by a ridiculous television clip. Stupid fucks...

  • @SugrPie93 Funny how democrats like you get bent outa shape and whine like little girls when people disagree with your views.

  • @noreaga12326 Are you whining like a little girl here?

  • @pccrasher51 Apparently i think that YOU'RE gona start whinning. Let me get out the kleenex for u

  • Crazy old motherfucker.

  • In a previous episode, Achie referred to the then-soon to be president as "Jerry Carter."

  • vote for Bunker

  • the republic party puts the states into debt with bs wars. then the democratics raises taxes to pay it off. it's a cool cycle.

  • @vomittie What an ignorant comment. Far more dem presidents got us into war than republicans and that's a fact. Look it up. Now where did you get your information? Damn sure not from any history book. Must've been from a revisionist history book straight from "why bother with facts when they only get in the way of the leftist point of view." democratic press. Until you get an education you really need to STFU until the time you can open your mouth without spewing shit, useful idiot.

  • @Inquisitor53 You like to name some? You need to get a new history book. Not one written by some right wing ideologue who wants to rewrite history. Oh! That's what YOU are trying to do.

  • @vomittie ummm...Democrats Got us into World War 1 Democrats got us into World War 2 Democrats got us into the Korean War. Democrats got us into Vietnam.

Good effort on your part though.

  • @MetalDetroit Uh...The Japanese got us into WW2. Ever hear of Pearl Harbor? Korea was a result of our treaty called the "South-East Asian Treaty Organization". Vietnam was a Cold War-era military conflict that occurred in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia from 1 November 1955. 1955 was a republican too! Dwight Eisenhower. Back to WW!, Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat who was opposed to war got us into WW1 to stop the Triple Alliance of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy take over of Europe.

  • @pccrasher51 Roosevelt had been pushing Japan toward war - ever hear of the oil embargo of Japan? ok - I'll make it easier for you. Which party had the Presidency when troops were sent into combat:

    WW1 - Democrat

    WW2 - Democrat

    Korea - Democrat

    Vietnam - Democrat

Kinda kills the one posters idea that REPUBLICANS are always getting this country into war...DOESN'T IT ?!

  • @pccrasher51 By the time United States entered World War I in 1917, Italy left the Triple Alliance and fought on the side of the Allies; England, France and Russia.

  • @MetalDetroit wow..that is so backwards and wrong that it's scary. Are you really that stupid or just a right wing hustler?

  • Wow what a filthy individual!

  • "Tellin' us how we gotta make sacrifices..." LOL When I heard that, I about fell out of my chair! Recalling the Obama speech I actually listened to, I remember him distinctly telling the nation about the sacrifices we must make. Hoooboy! Nailed it! Thanks for this upload!!

  • All in the Family had really good writers who were able to bring up political & racial topics, but throw in jokes to balance them out. People today are afraid to do or say anything, that's why we keep getting more & more reality shows - no imagination needed for them!

  • OBAMA 2012 !!!!!

  • @Michthemitch Why?! - You want four more years of high unemployment and out of control spending? - Four more years of this SHIT ?

  • @MetalDetroit Absolutely! The Bush years have killed us and obama is doing great at pulling us out quickly if the Republicans would help instead of screwing us!

  • @pccrasher51 You're another delusional fool. your pseudo-messiah has had three years of spend, spend, spend more than the 1st 35 presidents combinedand has done what? Nothing. Your hero's and his ungrateful Marie Antoinette of a wife are getting their asses kicked out of office and down the steps on Jan. 13, 2013. Bet on it! That is unless he does something underhanded (which is so typical of the left), like declare Marshall law just to nullify the votes. Ignorant tool.

  • @Inquisitor53 wow. I don't think anything I say will change a closed mind. Especially one so "ignorant"? Obama saved us from another great depression, saved the car industry and kept the middle class from being completely destroyed. You read the Wall Street Journal or watch Fox news? The most far right information sources you can get and go, "uh huh, them cats know what they are talking about". Fox admits they are not news when they go on other shows. Just their opinions.

  • @pccrasher51 "Obama saved us from another great depression,..." Really? How, by putting us $14 TRILLION in debt? "...saved the car industry..." No, he only saved the unions' asses. Too big to fail is a bs excuse to keep it business as usual instead of trimming the fat or going under because they wouldn't have survived in a truly capitalist system where it's either you make what the pudlic wants or you fail.. Several non-union auto makers didn't get any bail-out money nor did they want it. ...

  • @Inquisitor53 ... They knew there were union strings attached. "...and kept the middle class from being completely destroyed." Rest assured, obummer had nothing to do with that. If you really think so explain how he accomplished that act. Make it good: your humor is, although erronous, still quite delightful.

  • @pccrasher51 You must be one hardcore Democrat to think that Obama is doing a good job. Even many democrats are saying he has no clue what he is doing. Pick up the Wall street Journal - pick up Investors Daily. Find out what EMPLOYERS think about Obama. He is DESTROYING jobs in this country. Republicans are standing in the way of Obama the human wrecking ball.

  • @MetalDetroit You are correct! I AM a hardcore Democrat! Republicans are standing in the way alright! But they want to destroy this country. The republicans are blocking ALL of the job bills the president has sent them. wow...go figure.

  • @pccrasher51 JOBS BILLS ?! Jobs do NOT come from Government ! Jobs come from businesses, and this is the most ANTI-BUSINESS this country has ever had.

For God's sake - pick up a Wall Street Journal or Investors Business Daily and find out what EMPLOYERS and businesses are saying about this government standing in the way of JOBS!

  • I'd kill myself if those were my parents, I cant stand their voices

  • This was a scene from ARCHIE BUNKER'S PLACE when it spun-off from ALL IN THE FAMILY in 1979.

  • @67nairb No, this was FROM All in the Family.

  • Oh, hilarious. Today, most of the US sitcoms are very poor, even nonsense. All in the Family, Taxi, Soap are glassic great tv-shows.

  • @Arska6 Right.

  • @Arska6 Don't forget I LOVE LUCY and HONEYMOONERS.

  • @67nairb Yes, but Honeymooners never show in here, i think so.

  • @Arska6 What?

  • @67nairb In Scandinavia, late 50's or early 60's. Never heard.

  • @Arska6 All in the Family was very genius sitcom. There is redneck Archie, liberal learned hippie Meathead, good hearted but simple Edith and well busted Gloria.

  • @Arska6 Oh you're from Scandanavia?

  • @67nairb You guys have there presidential elections end of the 2012 but we have tomorrow our. I wonder many times, what is main differential of US Republican and Democratic parties? Make(copy) dollars or taxes? The U.S. debt is more than $15 trillion. What if China change US dollars to Euros? We have here in Europe basically status quo, Greece is almost bankruptcy, Italy, Spain ja Portugal follow. Only class AAA country's are we in here Finland, Germany, Holland and Luxemburg.

  • @Arska6 What country are you from if you don't me asking.

  • @67nairb Finland

  • @Arska6 thanks for the info.

  • I love this serie

  • @LucisFerre1 He was a fool. A good man but very foolish.

  • wow, he hit the nail on the head

  • An now we have a COLORED fellow in the White House

  • @cessna65423 Oh gosh darn the black peeples they is the whole problem with this country...even though there are far more whites receiving welfare.

Strange when your beliefs are proven wrong .... eh?

  • @LucisFerre1 I only watched two episodes of in all the 25 years of her show. She's grossly overarted.

  • fuck the duck and screw the kangaroo

  • ""APPLAUSE!!!""

  • amen arch, amen. hey meathead why dont you try listening to a great man like archie you pinko!

  • Archie's annoyance and anger with Democrats was justified in this clip and still is 30 years later.

  • @67nairb

Hmmm...republicans repeating the mantra the country is going straight into the dumper... what 30 years ago. We're still here. BTW holding up Archie Bunker (racist to just about every race except whitebread that exists in America) = priceless and a dead on representation of the current republican party.

  • @pmccullo123 Archie was right in this case. Jimmy Carter was a failure as president; he couldn't fight inflation which had been worsening by the end of the 1970s (and which his successor had solved when he was POTUS); he couldn't find an effective sollution to the Energy Crisis; his hands were tied during the Iran Hostage Crisis and he didn't combat the spread of Soviet Communism around the world very effectively which his successor did.

  • @67nairb Ronald Reagan took America out of the dumper that Carter and other previous administrations, including Republicans got the country into.

  • @67nairb No Reagan took us INTO the dump with his evangelical, conservative hatred!

  • @OrganNLou Reagan cured the inflation problem in this country. While it's true that the we underwent a recession in the first two years of Reagan's presidency (the country was in recession long before Reagan entered the White House) including a ten percent unemployment rate in 1982, economic conditions began to improve in 83. And in 1984 there was an economic rebound and Reagan won by a landslide with all but the libereal state of Minnesota voting for him.

  • @67nairb Regan will go down in history as the 2nd worst president we ever had right after George W. Bush. Reagan caused massive shut downs of plants and so many people lost their jobs, he had his VP set up a new training program for laid off workers to try and hide his ineptness. He had alzheimer's disease his whole second term and had no clue what he was doing. You folks not old enough to remember should just ask.

  • @pccrasher51 I was old enough to rememeber Reagan's second term. Buddy! My only regret is that I was just a year too young to vote for him for reelection.

  • @pmccullo123 Yeah - for 30 years Republicans have said that government spending is out of Control. And here we are 30 years later. $16,000,000,000,000.00 in debt. (16 TRILLION if you can't count the zeros) WAKE THE FUCK UP !

  • @67nairb the real comedy is people who get riled up about wedge issues, support half a party in a one party, "republicrat" system, and seem to miss the chilling reality that in all issues that truly matter dems and repubs are in lockstep, as their big banking and industrial masters dictate. their plan to make you believe your vote matters seems to be working perfectly.

  • @jwallbanger I'm sick and tired of Democrats saying Republicans are the party of the rich, that just turns me off.

  • @67nairb both parties are the parties of the rich. since the early 1900's this country has been tightly controlled by large banking families. our democracy died with the creation of the federal reserve, a private bank that took over our money supply, lending it to us at interest instead of the government just printing it itself as the founding fathers intended. make no mistake, this was a coup, and we've been under their thumb ever since.

  • @67nairb the only bit of democracy left is the bit the big banking families don't care about. they get to decide our foreign policy, when and where we go to war, our domestic spending levels and largely what we spend it on, etc. they keep us pacified by getting us to fight over stupid non-issues like gay marriage and abortion.

but it is true that for these scraps we get to fight over the republicans are more heavily funded by and therefore more loyal to the rich. that's a fact jack.

  • @jwallbanger Banking families as in the Rothschilds?

  • @67nairb Rothschilds, Rockefellers, those are two biggest names yes. Go to my channell and click on my favorites. The second to last on the list is a vid called Zeitgeist Part 1: The Federal Reserve. That should give you the basics on how America was taken over by the big banking families.

  • @67nairb I wanted to respond to this, and thought... this isn,t worth responding to.... More true to Repulicants that 's stopping everything tying to be done...I'm sorry.... that is all I will say,...

  • Kinda funny how a TV show from 30+ years ago plays out in modern times.

Except, now we have a Carter "of color"

  • Arch was right then and he's right now. Obama is just Smilin' Jimmy in Dark Face. Funny how the Dems are using the same worn out playbook they always have. They love keeping people poor and separated.

  • @MountainMonkSage Obama's worse than Carter.

  • They always tried to make Archie Bunker look stupid, but all the liberals and democrats succeeded in doing is making themselves look stupid. I guess Archie must have looked into the future, because he got it right. No.... he didn't really, capitalism and free markets work, socialism is a failure and always was.

  • Some things will never change.

  • This was nearly 40 years ago.....Archie Bunker was DEAD ON! Archie would give Barrack what for now!

  • Conservatives and liberals...every one of them need to be voted OUT! They are humans...and where you have humans, you always have corruption. Yes we have term limits, its called voting, but like I said, humans are corrupt, so in order to curb the corruption, you must enact solid term limits for ALL seats. There should be no such thing as a career politician. But there is, because the voting public is too stupid to see the smoke the politicians blow up our asses for their monetary benefit.

  • The "Meathead" and all his buddies have grown up today and now occupy the White House and Congress. Can't say that Reiner didn't try to warn you...

  • The thought police would have this show off the air in 5 sec. today. I'm glad I grew up in an America that really knew freedom!

  • Did Archie Bunker change his name to Rush Limbaugh in the 1980s?

  • @heavym3tal Carrol O'Connor, who played Archie Bunker, was a die-hard Democrat and probably more liberal than Rob Reiner was. As Archie Bunker he was showing how closed-minded and uneducated so many right-wingers are.

  • @GeorgiaKev Robert Reiner told Larry King on an episode of LARRY KING LIVE that Carrol O'Connor subscribed to the Nation, a very left-wing magazine.

  • @67nairb This was on the day that O'Connor died.

  • @67nairb That wouldn't surprise me.

  • @GeorgiaKev O'Connor always called himself a an old-fashioned liberal and a new New Deal Democrat. I believe his favorite president was Franklin Delano Roosevelt, a man who Archie Bunker claimed ruined the country as he said in an arguement he had with Edith's cousin Maude in one episode.

  • @67nairb Yep, I remember that episode! I remember hating Maude while watching it and then LOVING her when she stood up to Archie by defending FDR.

  • @GeorgiaKev FDR fucked us over, are you NUTS???

  • @MountainMonkSage Oh yeah, he REALLY fucked us over.....he got us thru the Great Depression and then defeated Germany and Japan in WWII, leaving America the most powerful nation in the world. FDR was the greatest president of the 20th Century. It's a shame the Democrats today don't have the kind of backbone that he had.

  • @GeorgiaKev FDR was the best Democrat of the 20th Century, but I'd have to argue Reagan was the best President of the 20th Century.
