Scott Hall was a star without all the accalades, he didn't need them, he didn't need writers and producers to make him a star, but he popped everybody he was ever written in to loose against, and he loved it.knowing Hall could jus as well be the champ instead of him, it's awesome to see such love. Classic. 4 LIFE
thats another reason why, Scott Hall = Bigger then Wrestling
@JonasDygd Probably asked to leave due to lack of title shots. It turned out to be a good move for him as he became the first man to win 4 Intercontinental championships and had long reigns(except the 3rd).Lots of wrestlers have asked to be released from their contracts .Lex Luger,Vader,Jimmy Snuka, and countless others all left WWF because they were never allowed to wear a title during their runs.As soon as they left, they all won numerous championships and became more successful.
@81carlos Vader and Lex Luger held World titles prior to going to the WWF. Vader never won a title after his WWF run. Same with Jimmy Snuka. The ECW title back then doesn't count as a World title
@AceDagger1 Yes.Thats what I meant.Lex,Snuka and Vader were MUCH more successful outside of the WWE.As soon as they left, would go on to win titles. If you read my prior comment,I never mentioned the ECW title being a World title back then. But it still was a major title that a lot of Legends have held.Vader ended up returning to Japan and defeated the legendary Mitsuharu Misawa for the prestigious Triple Crown championship.
@81carlos I see. Thanks for the info on Vader. Snuka, though, won the title when it was Eastern Championship Wrestling. It was indeed that company's top title, but Eastern was a very small time promotion with TV in select areas, much smaller than what Extreme would become, so I wouldn't call it a 'major' title. They also only gave him the belt to give that promotion a rub, not because he deserved it. He was way past his prime in the early 90s
@AceDagger1 I think Snuka got the title because of all his years of hard work.He wasn't at his peak, but was still effective and had star power.I think he also won the ECW TV title afterwards.Terry Funk defeated him for that title.ECW back then was like ROH was a few years ago.Small company with superb talent.ROH's title isn't considered a 'World" title. But the facts are that the ROH championship has been defended on more than a few continents.I'd say it's more of a world title then most others.
he still did the flinging toothpick back then too?... that's great!
