Would I be right in saying that Zander are a none native fish and all caught fish should be killed?

hi ..walked down my local canal this week and seen a dead zander by the bank ...around 4lb in wieght ....i`m thinking of spinning for it....anybody got any tips ...as i never spin fish! cheers mike!

Great catch Stewart !! I've found myself fortunate enough to catch a zander of similar size last year here in Belgium.
