I used to love this show!!! I also just realised that Greg Berlanti reused the name Robert McCallister in Brothers & Sisters. hahaha. Guess it does sound presidential.

i really dont know why the WB was stupid enough to not to give this show a 2nd season. This was an amazin show. Every episode was beautifully written, and the actors did an amazin job. Thank you so much for uploadin every episode of this show bdirknoel1077

they cansiedled it because some stupid parents group did not like the fact that it keeped puting things like war disses plegs in to the fucher the fact that grace used pot and ep 21 realy pissed them off

Nah, the real reason was purely ratings...Jordan Levin loved the show, and it really disappointed him to have to cancel it (read the book "Season Finale"), but at least they had a good finale. Robert McCallister's legacy has carried on after 'J&B' ended; well, sort of, at least. Greg Berlanti recycled the name in his current series "Brothers & Sisters" on ABC...there are MANY similarities between the two characters...he even ran for President and had a wife named Courtney and son named Jack!!!

I never really made that connection between brothers and sisters and this, but that is really a big "coincidence".

Greg Berlanti has really done that with all his shows it seems...all of his ABC series ("Brothers & Sisters", "Eli Stone", and "Dirty Sexy Money") have had something in common with his WB series ("Dawson's Creek", "Everwood", and "Jack & Bobby"), although it is usually a situation, casting, or crew and not actual characters. Blake Neely has been the musical composer for all of his series, and every series has shared at least one cast member, even if it were only for a guest appearance.

@zuzrumak "Season Finale: The Unexpected Rise and Fall of The WB and UPN" was/is a book that gives a WB insider's take on all the things the made the WB famous and successful, but how many of those same things ultimately spelled its doom as well. I believe it is out of print (released in October 2007; single printing as far as I know), but can still be found for sale online. It was written by Susanne Daniels (former WB entertainment pres) and is a long (but good) read at 400 pages.
