how about we start with criminal charges for the manager False Imprisonment California Code Penal Code Chapter 8. For merely threatening to lock you in. then we tack on a nice little civil suit for duress and violating you legal binding contract you signed saying " You or we may close your checking or savings account at any time without advanced noticed." hit'um were it hurts
@Wodinswolf You do realise they were NOT detained -- the video said that they would be detained until the police were called -- yet I dont see any police.
And then it say we LEFT with the plan to go to the next bank of America -- ( before the police arrived)
This means that they must have left the bank on the own free will prior to the police arriving.
@TheUncleDougger "You do not give up your 1st amendment rights when you walk in a bank."
Sort of -- but if you enter a bank and make a scence the bank manangement being private property can refuse entry or service to anyone who is acting in a disorderly manner.
That is the issuse --most of these protestor aren't just quitely trying to close there accounts.
they want attention and will try to make a scence -- that is exactly why they get kicked out
The tittle is misleading -- its not that the bank of AMerica is refusing to close account.
The issuse is that the protestors dont acutally want to close there accounts ( or at least that is not there main objecitve)
They just want attention -- and the second the bank lets them in they will probably "occupy" the bank and refuse to leave

I can't stand the whole OWS thing, but that bank employee was a bit outta line. You do not give up your 1st amendment rights when you walk in a bank.
