Good idea, but the existing one seems to hold up with lots of maintenance. Trick is to have the reinforcement also move up and down - sort of scissors like. I have two dancing chairs, one spare, and one new non-dancing chair. I did need to get one elevator mechanism replaced because the bearing at the bottom was worn. I have the old part. I am good at rebuilding the elevator and have a place that rebuilds the 24 volt wiper motors for $100. Are you in the repair trade? Near Portland, OR?
Does anyone know of others in the world doing elevated (partner height) power wheel chair ballroom dancing? The seat elevator mechanism isn't standing up to the stress. I am looking for sponsors to fund a custom dancing chair and maintenance of the chair. This is so much joy I don't want to give it up.
