  • Looks more like the LATE 80s. I moved to Maryland from New York in late 85 and this was the second USA Network station ID I saw. The voice over is not Alan Kalter, I am pretty sure it's Ken Ryan

  • And the VO is Alan Kalter, now Letterman's announcer.

  • @WhatsAYak Actually I believe it's Ken Ryan. Many of USA's Originals back then originated on Global in Canada and Ken Ryan worked as an announcer for them. He also did the first season of Jackpot when they revived it (host was Mike Darrow) and Bumper Stumpers (host: Al Dubois).

  • @PREGO1966 No, I believe it really is Alan Kalter doing the voiceover for this ID.

  • I miss the old school usa network! Its a shame times have changed so much and how unbearable television is to watch today!U never what u got till its gone!

  • @balser77 Man oh man, couldn't agree with you more. It's funny how nostalgic this bumper is. It makes me sad though. Everytime I watch it, I think a GREAT show, or movie, is going to play, but we'll never see it again.

NBC Universal screwed up this channel, as well as Sci-Fi (now SyFy), and Chiller. Just like Viacom screwed up MTV.

Dam I miss 80's television so much

  • @unclesporkums They sure were.

  • Ah, those were happier times...

  • @unclesporkums you said it.

  • @buzzlewie "You are watching the USA Network!" I wish. Bring back the good stuff, then I'll watch.
