The first book i read was the Shadow of the Wind before the Angel's game. These two books was really captivating, i couldn't put them down when i'd started. There's so much emotion being portrayed, it seems to seep out of the book and flow all over. I salute him and i am willing to wait for his subsequent works.
about two days ago , i heard an interview of this guy ... the auther of
"The Shadow of the wind" on BBC ... and man , i never read this book , but i INSTANTLY fell in love with his personality , his beautiful mind .. man
i have to be honest his accent too ...
and when i came to search how he looked like .. i was a little .. umm shocked i guess .... i mean i fantasized him as a sexy long haired spanish guy, but that really made me learn that real beauty comes from the inside !
I'm starting to think i missed the point of The Angel's Game. i felt like it was 530 pages of chess that ended in checkers. I loved the shadow of the wind and its one of my favorites. Please someone respond with how you felt about the last hundred pages because it didn't follow for me.
@rapi321 well said. I also thought the Shadow of the Wind was excellent but omg i was totally lost in the Angel's game. I became David. I felt his loss of Cristina and their love. Every time when I lost hope he didnt give up. I know this is not a sequel but I cant wait till Mr. Zafon's next book.
@Ben10888 for real i felt the same way i was in love wit cristina lmao even after i finished the angels game i was feeling kind of sad i hope he does make the other 2 books
@boxfan88 Well uk I just read the Prince of Mist and the Midnight Palace. Although I still enjoyed these books I was kinda dissapointed. Idk if its bc they are intended to be for young readers but to me once u read the Shadow of the Wind and the Angel's game ur left wanting more. I hope he continues to create the intrigue and mystery he did with the cementary of books and the characters that came alive for me in those books.
I am rereading now. What I truly enjoyed is the authors sense of humor. It is very dry kind. David Martin may not be a philosopher by profession but the reader gets plenty of his view point throughout the book. It is going to be a terrible wait for the next book.
This book was slapped together. To many unanswered questions. Intriguing at times, but overall very disappointing. Who is Corelli and what's the deal with Christina at the end?? PFFFT
Why is it that nasty notes like this are almost always posted by cranks with one or two subscribers, no loaded videos, no favorites or friends? It's sad.
It's very different thing to write in a second language. For one he probably thinks in Spanish so that is a very different sort of music. I do think his English is nearly perfect, however.
Angel's Game >> Shadow of the Wind
Anyone who disagrees is a human being whose taste is different from mine.

Can someone explain me:
*SPOILERS*
1) the ending. So what the hell happened with Christina
2) was Corelli the Devil?
3) Was all that a dream?
4) I cannot recall any other mystery right now! If you do, explain it to me! PLEASE!!!

I'm a crank because I dont have any subscribers, no loaded videos, no favorites, and no youtube friends? WOW You're 100% right.
I shouldn't voice my honest opinion about a book I was really excited for, but unfortunately felt let down after reading it.

I apologize. But I read the book and was pleased with it.

I agree with you 100%. This is a great writer of our time. I wonder why he doesn't write in English! I didn't know he speaks English.
