@lilcutie961 My puppy yowled every night until she was about a year old, hopefully it doesn't last as long but german shepards are an entirely different breed. They chew when they're bored and unattended. Try taking your dog for long walks so he sleeps through the night, and giving him appropriate toys to chew on, i suggest a Kong filled with peanut butter to keep him busy and a hard rubber bone for his chewing habit. With regular socializing and diligent training and ownership he'll be fine.

@lilcutie961 sadly the best thing to do with a yowling puppy is tough love. If not it could cause separation anxiety and that could cause even worse chewing. Get it a nice chew toy or maybe a raw hide and give it to them when you go out. I had this problem with 3 different dogs and a mixture of various ratios greatly helped me
