"The law concerning adultery is applicable to Muslims living in an Islamic state and not others. While adultery may be common in secular societies it is uncommon in a practicing Muslim socities."
Is that because, men are allowed to have multiple wives?!
As for punishing rape victims - please read up on infamous cases like that of Mukhtar Mai in Pakistan among several others.
I just read a wiki article about her after reading ur comment. And it proved my point
Firstly the injustice was by a tribal jirga. If Pakistan had an Islamic system no jirga would have been able to do anything remotely similar.
Secondly, the perpetrators would have been tried and if there was enough evidence they would have been executed. And if the evidence was not 100% but still convincing they would have received long sentences as Ta'zeeri rules.
@jerryaltman Shariah does not punish rape victims. This is a misconcepion.
If it is confirmed that a man engaged in sexual intercourse with a woman by threatening to kill her or by using some kind of drug or anesthetic, then his crime will be more serious than that of consentual sex. The punishment thereto is death by execution...
A woman will not be punished if there is any reason to believe that she was forced into the act. The least evidence in this regard will be sufficient ...(cont..)
(cont..) to save the woman from punishment. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah has pardoned my people for the acts they do by mistake, due to forgetfulness, and what they are coerced into doing” Also, it was related by Ibn Abî Shaybah through Târiq b. Shahâb that a woman accused of adultery was taken to Caliph `Umar. The woman pleaded that she was asleep and woke up to find the man over her. `Umar released the woman.
@saladinswarrior Well, in practice it's not what happens. Many women are abused as child, and when get married, some times against her will, and the husband suspect he is not virgen, she is killed.
And even adultery it's not reason for spanking or killing. This is savage. You would need to kill 50% of the world population or more.
@jerryaltman Forced marriages & honor killing r prohibited in Islamic law. These r cultural practices found in some Muslims & even non-Muslims.I am not here to defend this practices.
As for adultery,u have to understand that the Islam views society differently. In a genuinely Islamic society there would be no need it as ppl can easily enjoy sex in marrage. Also to prove adultery occured u need 4 male witnesses of good character testifying that they actually saw full penetration.
Any discrepancy among the witnesses would lead them to be punished.
So it is almost impossible to prove it unless the persons confess voluntarily.
Also u said "And even adultery it's not reason for spanking or killing. This is savage. You would need to kill 50% of the world population or more"

@mimic58 Nothing of that sort happens in Saudi Arabia.
The punishment for stealing does not include
1)Kids
2)Stealing bread.
I think u are referring to a picture that was circulated online. That picture was of a street show (btw not in Saudi Arabia).I found that sickening and deplorable and inhuman.
Islam has nothing to do with those kind of disgusting acts.
@saladinswarrior It was in Iran one of the world most modern an advanced muslim nations... and islam has everything to do with thos discusting acts because its all done in ALLAHS name do not tell me it has nothing to do with it because it fucking does and anyone with half a brain can work that out
But Islamic law is clear that no-one below the age of puberty is to be punished This is well-known from the Prophet's statement:
“The Pen has been lifted from three, from the sleeper until he awakes, from the minor until he grows up, and from the insane until he regains his reason.” (Narrated by al-Nasaa’).
The Shariah punishment is carried out only on sane,non-minor criminals who do not commit crimes out of necessity.
@saladinswarrior ...I am not saying Islamic law says that rape victims are to be punished( although when a married woman is raped Islamic law says that is adultery and she is to be stoned to death)...I am not talking about Islamic law...I am talking about Islamic REALITY...the reality that STONES RAPE VICTIMS...It happens and you KNOW that it does...now defend that...prove that dosent happen
@slowdowntony If a married woman is raped she is NOT cnsidered as having committed adultery. She is NOT stoned because she was forced to commit the act.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allah has forgiven for my ummah for their mistakes, what they forget and what they are forced to do.” (Narrated by Ibn Maajah)
What do u mean by Islamic reality?I am NOT going to defend acts done by Muslim individuals or communities that violate Islamic law.
“Narrated Wa’il ibn Hujr: “When a woman went out in the time of the Prophet (P) for prayer, a man attacked her and overpowered [raped] her. She shouted and he went off, and when a man came by, she said: That [man] did such and such to me. And when a company of the Emigrants came by, she said: That man did such and such to me. They went and seized the man whom they thought had had intercourse with her and brought him to her.
(cont..) She said: Yes, this is he. Then they brought him to the Apostle of Allah (P).
When he [the Prophet] was about to pass sentence, the man who [actually] had assaulted her stood up and said: Apostle of Allah, I am the man who did it to her.
He [the Prophet] said to her: Go away, for Allah has forgiven you. But he told the man some good words [Abu Dawud said: "meaning the man who was seized"], and of the man who had had intercourse with her, he said: “Stone him to death.“
mashallah, Allah (swt) will find his slaves to continue and strive... may Allah (swt) 1st and foremost inspire the same dedication in me and the muslim umah.
may Allah (swt) be with him always... i feel ashamed of my self after watching the brother mashallah.

It's more barbaric when rapists are allowed to leave American prisons to rape again.

@slowdowntony RU saying that Islamic law says rape victims r to be stoned? If so Prove it.
Show me the verse in the Quran or statement of the Prophet that says so.
There is a difference between adultery, fornication and rape.
In Islamic law,the rapist is punished and not the rape victim.I can prove this by quoting Quran & Hadith.
