  • @beeroosterm Daydreamer, to which reality did I give in to?! 1. You're to my knowledge the only creature who ever accused AFT of racism and you've only and generously proven you are THE spine- and brainless racist. Come back whith your twins, if you ever can convince any of the 7 billion earth dwellers of your fallacy. 2. The only halo we behold around here is the totally obscure one you blocked your head with... for your exclusive self-glorification and jeering taunts by everybody else!

  • @beeroosterm Bottom Line: I love the blues regardless of its origins and your opinions on who- or whatever aren't worth a whoop to me. However, I abhor (provocative) racists / bigots / misogynists etc. (who call anti-racists like AFT names --a simplistic and popular strategy), I don't like idiots who think they're a genius and you(r comments) epitomize both. "Go away, Cuntmar"! You brought me back here and you can count on my ghost, retarded dastardly diva.

  • @beeroosterm 1. Many (ethno)musicologists and artists support the (West) African roots theory. Even before AFT became known as a guitarist (his umpteenth instrument), scholars advanced and convincingly vouched it. 2. Gatemouth was imo a (grumpy) great artist, but "I can play any kind of music" should of course be taken with a pinch/pond of salt. Apparently, he couldn't! 3. YOU dragged Cooder into this farce and all of a sudden he fell out of your grace! Why am I not surprised!

  • @beeroosterm Your OWN plain and simple racist words are obviously a mystery to yourself, so you appeal to Mr. Between-the-lines and Mrs. Irony! What a brainiac! Nothing unusual, though, as groping for bolt holes, attributing your repetitively demonstrated deficiencies to everybody without a shred of evidence, an appalling want of sound judgment, demanding the (last) word without ever rising above a toddler's level, provoking-crying-decamping... belong to your overly transparent shortcomings.

  • @beeroosterm I'm saying the music evolved from the songs of slaves. I think the various forms of traditional West African music use a five note scale, so yes, the blues is different in many ways. I don't know about AFT personally. Everyone is racist to a degree. Are you into Captain Beefheart at all? Just curious.

  • @beeroosterm How come everybody, incl. Cooder, is right when you subscribe to their opinions and wrong when you don't? Should be due to your delusion that the whole world is conspiring against your unique genuis and unparelleld geniality! How do you know RC was using superlatives because he was dead? Sure a product of your escape route epiphany that you suddenly can read sentiments though you're clearly deaf, dumb and blind to understand hundreds of your conspicuously racist words on YT!

  • @beeroosterm The interview with RC is readily available. If you're referring to another source, enlighten us - Your Highness! "I judged AFT on his playing ability (awful)"! If that was the case, I'd have never heeded your low(ne)liness. Your very 1st reaction to that old comment of mine didn't devote a single letter to music but called AFT "a tribal, islamic racist" and though I ignored you, you cont'd defecating your profundities for months. Be a man and stop lying, crying and absconding.

  • @beeroosterm Ry Cooder on NPR upon AFT's death: "The world has lost a magnanimous genius!" RC's interview that you dishonestly interpret contains opinions you'll neither understand nor accept. E.g.: "The way he plays... it all looks like Lightnin’ Hopkins on a real good day."

"Only someone with ears of stone could fail to enjoy Ali Farka Touré’s atmospheric, dusty and understated Saharian pulse" -- The Guitarist about Savane. Read also what other experts, incl. Ry Cooder, has said about it

  • @beeroosterm Even Micky Mouse is witness to the nr. of people, pigs & fish who are constantly fuxxing YT's Village Idiot Ltd. ... hands down, and you're the only degenerate schmuck who's enjoying it. Given your stunning vanity/idiocy, it's furthermore natural you don't grop doomsday will be heralded before anybody, fauna or flora manifests an interest beyond rebuttal in your farts. Truth: You'll hear from me whenever a racist vermin and an eternal loser, like you, insults AFT (or anybody else).

  • @beeroosterm Looking for crap? Just follow your comments. "My hat is off to to the early bluesmen"! This should be why you regularly take your dunce's cap off to blacks AND whites who politely and skillfully destroy your cut-and-paste or ad hominem garbage by persistently calling them "fucking niggers"! Say hello to The Swine, your boss, whose asshole has more brain cells and perfume than your head and mouth.

  • @beeroosterm I see KKK's famous poltroon and Himmler's favourite toilet cleaner is still proudly feasting on his top-notch rectum wisdom. Explains why it's terribly stinking around here. Understand greatness?! You've repeatedly proven that the simplest logica in your own language is rocket science to you. Let's hope you'll understand, sometime before next century, that your wanton monomaniac attacks only confirm you're a peerless nincompoop. Everybody else already does.

  • @beeroosterm The blues came straight from west Africa. Why are you picking on this artist anyway? Go to a Lady Gaga video. I will support your diatribes there. This guy is quite talented if you ask me.

  • @beeroosterm Haring away, as usual? You're a rare jewel! At a loss with facts/figures/opinions, you often use insults as arguments -not realising each insult can be proven as an integral part of your personality! When I first reacted to your provocative racism & stupidity, I hadn't been on YT for about 2 years. Now I'm back on this public forum you apparently consider as your toilet and you've to be a man and get used to it. Better yet, look at yourself in the mirror and question your behaviour.

  • @beeroosterm The fucked up head and/or simulated amnesia of the pathological troll who routinely plays the role of the victimized cry-baby ... when the blockhead's ass is kicked into runny doormat-herpetiformis, that is.

  • @beeroosterm Recap: I first saw you when you reacted to a 2-year-old comment of mine and I decided to ignore your dimwitted ugliness. I finally responded, some 2 months later, as your pathology couldn't stop spewing extremely silly and offensive tirades.

Why on earth do you start fireS if you can't take the heat?! Simple: You are living proof of a lonely loser: An exhibitionistc swellhead rejected by the world, who's foolishly pursuing the ever-illusive succes by trolling. Heartwrenching!

  • @beeroosterm The senile cry-baby is clearly visible and your comments are perfect definitions of your favourite argument, viz. "whiny pussy"! Cuntmar?! Helpless and hilarious creativity! Not only countless people, but also the ''dying, shit-eating swine' in your bed can pinpoint the masochistic goofus who's regularly and joyously taking it in more holes than a human body can have. Don't flatter yourself, the day anybody starts pursuing you shall land you in the rehab you desperately need.

  • @beeroosterm 4. "your true SENTIMENTS are blatantly obvious to me"! And yet you're utterly unable to even refute my plain facts and substantiated opinions! 5. It's crystal clear Your Immense Loneliness would abuse children/pets as no respectable human can stand your massive inanities. Obsessively repeating your famous prejudices is in line with the psychology of hollow self-inflated egos, self-flagellating racist cretins and serial killers. Thank god and satan you're a stark-naked coward!

  • @beeroosterm Don't worry! It's hilariously normal that a ne'er-do-well, like you, endlessly shoots himself in the feeeeet: 1. For ages, the desperate troll has been relishing his disgusting and decrepit poseur's striptease in front of the whole world. 2."..respond to a comment left months ago"! Only a pathological liar can't see the said comment is just 1 day old! 3. The capable and worthless contributions are both staring you in the face. No wonder yours are desrvedly voted into oblivion!

  • @beeroosterm Apologies for exposing your childishly senile racism and ignorance. Due to your pathological trolling, you STARTED AND CONTINUED meddling into issues you've no clue about. So, behave once in your life like a man/human and be thankful you're getting the attention your proven maso-narcissism and loneliness are craving for. Humanity must actually preserve you as you're the only member of the "Endangered Species Society/SchutzStaffel for 24/7 Unconscionable Professional Idiots".

  • @beeroosterm Amazing how you enjoy using your limited skills to publicly poop in your pants! But that's alas the best one can expect from an obvious spine-/brainless "whiny pussy" who's incessantly strutting in his birthday's suit. Unlike Dr. Moron von Troll, I'm demonstrably policing nowhere but my sporadic answers to your imbecile racism are clearly your worst nightmare. Even a 'dying, shit-eating swine's asshole' can easily declass your pulpous bombast. You're an ignominy to the human race!

  • @beeroosterm 2."it's due to the fact that he's been dead for years"! AFT died in 2006 after having enjoyed more than 40 years of glorious artistic & humanist career humbly. 3. "I'm not biasedt"! You've amply proven you're "an ignorant racist" (sic), biased not only towards AFT, but also towards blacks, muslims, women, homos... practically everybody who doesn't fit into your white supermacist views. No doubt Himmler would have decorated you frequently as the most diligent & subordinate corporal.

  • @beeroosterm Your knowledge and whole life are evidently heavily dependent on the PC. And yet, your boundless stupidity prevents you, as usual, from verifying the drivel you cherish as opinions/facts by simply using your brains, i.e. the computer: 1. His inclusion in the great guitar players list had obvious PC implications"! Hardly anybody on earth owned a PC, let alone an internet connection, when AFT was acknowleged as a seminal, world-class artist by professionals and dilettantes alike.

  • @beeroosterm O.K, I'm agree with you, that's a really pertinent image. I personally like his music because it sounds totally improvised, totally diferent from music of any other artist I know. Sometimes, it's good to listen to music which is uninfluenced by occidental way of playing it. Too bad for you that you can't appreciate it.

But I don't know, and I'd like you to tell me why "he's a racist"?

P.S: Excuse my poor english, it is not my mother language.

  • @beeroosterm OOOOOOOOOOOH he understands irony HA HA HA HA

  • @beeroosterm No devotion necessary here, only plain facts anybody can verify. Drop the random bollocks and surprise me and yourself ONCE with a relevant adult argument or a simple fact!

  • @beeroosterm This "tribal nonsense" is recognized by friend and foe as a splendid, innovative and influential artist, multi-instrumentalist, lyricist in multiple languages... He's even the only musician from all non-western countries on Rolling Stone's heavily biased list of "the 100 greatest guitarists of all time". And you know what, he never claimed any of these characterizations or cared about fame and fortune. And you, what have you accomplished as a musician or even in your whole life?

  • @beeroosterm I don't get it. What are you doing here if you don't like the music? Personally, I listen to what I like and ignore the rest. You should do the same.

  • @beeroosterm Well, I doubt I'd call him one of the great guitar players of all time, but I for one like his music. I find it relaxing. I don't know or care much about his politics. I'm sure if I knew half the truth about musicians I admire, I might not admire them so much anymore. Anyway, pax.

  • @beeroosterm You're a fan of rock 'n roll. Where do you think rock 'n roll and blues came from? Africa!!

  • Wow! Does anybody need a better illustration of how much American music owes to its African roots? I loved that call and response between guitar and n'goni. It's all in the fingers. Blues is the European guitar played like an n'goni. And the riti fits right in there with the blues idiom. The artistry has crossed the ocean in both directions and wrought some real magic on either side.

  • the African instruments are truly delightful

  • awesome

  • De la vraie musique ! De l'art vrai !

  • big up Ali.......I love

  • still plays with his first guitar he got in Sofia Bulgaria

  • eu tive lá CARALHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    SINTRA!!

  • @pittzzi AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH MUITA BOMMMM :)

  • Is that Bassekou Kouyate in violet playing an ngoni? It looks like him. His CD, "Segu Blue," is excellent, and includes a very sad yet beautiful tribute to Ali called "Ali Farka's Lament."

  • What's the bowed instrument being played at the end? Sounds gorgeous! Forgive my ignorance!

  • @helmutbananakegs It's a fulani instrument from west Africa

  • @ngariful The single-stringed fiddle is known as the "riti" in Guinea, played mostly by the Fulani, and as the "sekou" in Senegal. It is usually played in this manner across the Sahel. A similar instrument called the "masenko" in Ethiopia or "chirra-watta" in Eritrea is still widely used in pop music, but is usually played upright, with strings to the front.(Some Asmari, professional musicians of east Africa hold it in a very suggestive position.)

  • @helmutbananakegs: It may be a njarka violin, but I am not sure whether it is played as in the video or upright.

  • does anyone know what guitar he is playing?

  • he was playing with a old japenese guitar "SEIWA" !

  • seriously? I've been looking and asking all over to find out what make that guitar is! Thanks!

  • @malifoli

There was nothing Japanese in the clip. ALL of those instruments originated and are prominent in most of West Africa.

  • @lionzion22 the guitar he was playing on is actually an old Japanese version.

  • he could make a melody from shoe strings,,,R.I.P Ali

  • it does sound like J.Lee HOoker, direct connection w/ Mali. Ha and I thought that J.Lee iinvented his own style. Iggy says that he's a John lee follwer and talks about his vibe/ so actually the forefathers of punk are from Mali . jajajaja

  • Actually, American musicologists thought they had found the "connection" from Africa to the Blues. When they asked Ali Farka Toure who his influences were he replied "John Lee Hooker"

  • @vincentvan2 Just a case of an art form coming home to spawn where it came from, bringing a few fresh genes to take its ancestry to the next level. A little cross-pollination is good for a culture or an art form.

  • where can i get that outfit!

  • sounds like John Lee Hooker.

  • Ao lado do Ali Farka Toure, esta o Bassekou Kouyate outro grande musico ele toca o ngoni, vai estar em lisboa a 19 de julhho 2009 no World music festival LX09

On the left side of Ali Farka Toure we can see Bassekou Kouyate another great musician, he plays the ngoni

  • tkx for this

  • I first heard Ali in my chemistry class. His music changed my life forever. It's so beautiful and elegant. No one will ever come close to his smooth and wonderful music ever again. R.I.P. Ali, you are greatly missed.

  • @pr0udstar how did you come across it in chemistry lol that's interesting.

  • @pr0udstar

    No one?? Ever?

  • @MrPeace2mind Whether he will ever be surpassed may be questionable, but he did leave a son who seems rather talented. Check out Vieux Farka Toure'.

  • Never ever sall forget my africans frends of mine town,..i love them,.....they nice to me,..and i learn so much from them,...respect all over the world,....

  • I saw him in Nice 2005, and my buddy and I went to the Radisson hotel to jam with Seu Jorg, his samba band and the house jazz combo. We talked to Ali Farka Toure as he was walking to the elevator and asked him to come down and join the jam session because hes a legend (the cops had to shut down his show as it got late because the crowd refused to leave otherwise). I heard he for payment all he wanted was tractors for his farm and has terminally ill that year. Rest in Peace

  • I saw him performing with this line-up on the Nice jazz festival, i think it was the same year. Absolutely fantastic, the best concert i've ever seen. Thanks Ali!

  • Very cool mellow jam.

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Tinhas de morrer sem te ver ao vivo...

  • He was a hero to us all.

  • muhteşem
