yeah general consensus is ugly but sounds nice- trying to make it look like an MV Augusta F4 with those tailpipes, but the older bikes dont suit it at all..
i had a gsxr 750 wen i was 17 and had straight throw end can on it and tha sounded sick lol. nice systen on yor r6:) im 18 now and got a 2001 r6 with a micron stubby on it, but ur bike sound so much deeper:) p.s my bike hav started jumping wen in second gear wen you give it a hand full of throttle any ideas any1??
I just bought a 2000 R6 just like your bike but red/black/white. I just have a hard time knowing how to start it. I sometimes have to give some gas (throttle) to start it. Is that normal? What should the choke be on? I saw you trying out different things. Thank you and nice bike man.
shouldnt have to give it gas to start it when choke is on. Might need to get your carbs cleaned up. Easy job. Email me if u need help. I will give u step by step instructions. Real easy to do imo. Your Starter jet could be dirty so it is giving u a hard time to start it or your choke could be dirty. all u need is some choke carb cleaner, few tools and a case-o beer.:D
thanks i was actually just stupid and never held down the switch to turn on the bike...i just pressed it...this is my first bike so i'm just startin to learn lol it starts right up every morning, no problem..thanks for your help tho and i'll probably get my carbs cleaned anyways...ppl say to use seafoam or something like that in your gas to clean your cars etc...is this something i should do to just keep my bike clean? thanks for your help n i wish i can have a case of beer but i'm only 17...
everyone has there own view on seafoam but imo if its an older bike with good miles on it, i wouldnt use seafoam. but thats just me. Just keep your carbs maintained and cleaned and synced and put 89 or higher in the gas tank and maybe run some carburetor fuel system cleaner (not seafoam and dont run fuel injector cleaner!!). Get your valves adjusted if it has close to 26k on it. a good 400-500 dollar job.
very easy. If u can change your oil, u can clean your carbs. Go on google and type in R6 carburetor and there will be a link from a forum about cleaning your carbs. The carbs pop right off the engine and there are no screws that are holding it together. Once u disconnect the carbs, everything is cake. Start taking it apart and spraying it like hell wiht carb/choke cleaner. REMEMBER! KEEP ALL RUBBBER PARTS/SEALS away from CARB CLEANER or gasoline... !!!! Thats a no no.
the looks on the exahaust is like way advance than the bike... i think thats what some ppl look at it.. and nice sound tho
