  • @junebugfarms freak out lol

  • @junebugfarms thats a nice little grow there :) for the auto you saif you grew, was it the one that says Iranian Auto off of dr green thumbs site? thats what i was thinking but you mentioned it being a cross and an "early" not auto, so was it the original Iranian auto or something else? im trying to find the highest yielding auto and this is in a fight with Russian Rocket Fuel so i need some past growers advice, thanks so much

  • @TOXiiCxPLAGUE

Yes, I grew Dr. Greenthumb's Iranian auto - Actually, its the Iranian/OG.

But its important to note that although it's called 'Iranian Autoflower' on Dr. Greenthumb's website, it's really an EARLY flowering variety. The doc will tell you that himself, if you talk with him.

I have grown Lowryder2, Russian Rocket fuel, Onyx, and more - drgreenthumb Iranian Auto and Iranian Auto crosses WAY OUTYIELD typical autoflowering strains. And potency is way UP there.

  • @xXTrueSShotX idk bro, i know a few people that actually grew this last year that i know personally, and their plants got huge, one person pulled 5 oz off of one, idk what you know about autos, but compared to the normal .75 - 2 oz thats ALOT

  • Where exactly can I order the seeds from? Can you give me a website? Thankyou p.s. your plants looked awesome!

  • @2008atomic

trying to give you the web address and youtube won't let me.

  • @2008atomic

    drgreenthumb DOT com

  • i wish that was my backyard

  • I use coco/coir or rockwool as a seed starting/cutting medium. Once cracked and rooted, I transfer to pots filled with ROOTS (brand) organic soil. There they vegitate till they go directly into the ground outdoors. Planting holes (3' deep 3' wide) bottom 1/3 get kelp meal, flax meal, bone meal, feather meal, worm castings, and compost mixed with soil. Then plants are placed and holes filled with surrounding soil. Fresh water weekly - organic TEA every 2 weeks.

  • Just got my IAF & IOF in the mail & hope i get something close to this. Can you suggest any type of dirt , nutrients, and any other tips . i would apprecdiotate and thatnk you :)

  • @paweloproxa

they should do very well for you in most any type of medium. Fairly hardy and not too picky with nutes. I grow 100% organic, even preventatives. These guys love kelp, fish mix, and really love being grown outdoors. ALSO, you can take a cutting or two per plant, unlike true autoflowers. These are actually very very EARLY flowering.

  • what did you cross the Iranian/OG with to make pollen to cross it to the Bubba/OG or did it hermi?

  • @mahsph

I grew 13 different varieties outdoors this year. I chose one male snowdog and a satellite 2.2 male that were very robust, and let them mature for pollen harvesting.

I used this pollen to dust the Iranian/OG.

I did not grow any Bubba OG -- In fact, the Bubba OG is a brand new item on DR Greenthumb's site within the last week or so.

  • How did you like the auto flower

  • @ppzzzz0

This is really an 'early flower', not autoflower. It can be cloned quite easily.

The TASTE is out of this world - rich, deep, earthy, hashy, greasy (Iranian leaning pheno). Super bag appeal too - as evidenced by my 'peeps' (patients) grabbing every last leaf I harvested on this one.

My personal favorite is the OG leaning pheno of Dr Greenthumb's Iranian/OG cross. More sativa leaning effect. I'm growing IR/OG outdoors again next year, along 2 more drgreenthumb Iranian crosses .

  • thank you ;-)

  • u gotta sexy voice

  • wow great video Junebugs. very nice plants im thinking of getting some seeds from the DR. If you dont mind me asking how much do the Iranian OG yield on average per plant ?

  • @86Polski

The IRANIAN pheno plants are shorter/smaller than the OG pheno plants.

Iranian Pheno - I got an average of 5 3/4 ounces per plant, dried and trimmed. Multiple harvests are quite possible.

OG Pheno - I got 9 ounces from the larger plant, and 11 ounces total from the two smaller plants combined (dried and trimmed). I could have improved that yield if I'd opened up the branches a little for more light penetration.

  • I wanted the Cindy 99 as well buthe agreed to 2!Oh I have friends that tried his bubba og and said it is very tastey and potent almost too potent! So I sent him an email to make an iranian bubba og... see if he makes that then we could just buy that one strain and cover 3 strains in one ha!

  • @mahsph

The doc's got a new variety up on his site - a Bubba/OG cross. I would like to grow that and dust it with some pollen from Iranian/OG from seeds I made from my outdoor grow 2011.

  • @mahsph

Glad to read that you asked the 'doc' to make some Iranian X Bubba/OG. Maybe he'll do it ;-)

  • Oh and by the way Junebug would you give us asmoke report on the 2 distinct pheno's?When did you start them indoors please and I must say wow that is great that you got the 2 different pheno's out of 2 seeds!By the way some info that you might find useful in appreciation for all you are sharing :) Dr Greenthumb may very well do a mixed pack of 2 strains for instance last year he let me purchase 5 endless sky seeds and 5 iranian autoflower seeds.I tried to squeeze 3 strains out of him

  • Hi, how are you Junebug?Very good looking plants you have there you definitely have a greenthumb!I grew Dr Greenthumb's iranian autolfower last year it was very fast and potent. Now after seeing your video I want to get the iranian og kush in hopes of getting the 2 distinct pheno's that you have because then I wouldn't have to buy the iranian again and I wouldn't have to buy an Og kush strain variety solely that I have been wanting to try) since it has both pheno's now that's bang for your buck!

  • Did you top all your plants

  • @ppzzzz0

Yes, I topped all the IR/OG plants at anywhere from 4th - 6th set of true leaves.

I also pinched back the plants in the first month or so outdoors to encourage branchy/bushy shape.

  • hahah did you end the video becasue your phone was ringing?

  • I live in northern Canada, and have never been able to grow outdoors. This year I tried Iranian autoflower from Dr Greenthumb, and I was very pleased with the results. The grow was a bit of a late idea, and I only germinated them on June 15th. I harvested on September 18th, and it is some killer bud, I must say. I averaged right around 100 grams of dry bud per plant. I did encouter several mutants- tiny plants which never amounted to anything, weird leaves, and just plain freaky. Did you?

  • @stableboy420

I did not encounter any mutant plants. But I only germinated 3 seeds, then took cuttings to test cloning ability. Clones were easy to root and robust.

If you can get your first batch outdoors under sunlight by May (cold frame, greenhouse, clear-covered deck or porch?) 1, you could easily get multiple harvests by staggering additional plantings every week or two till June 15.

  • @junebugfarms How much tastier is the Iranian x OG compared to the Original Iranian Autoflower? How much longer does the OG cross take to finish? Thanks a million, by the way.

  • @stableboy420

Everyone that's tried my Iranian/OG harvest LOVES it. The taste is very spicy/earthy RICH - richer in taste than any variety I've grown over 30+ years. People tell me they've NEVER tasted anything so RICH and full. The Iranian leaning pheno IS the richest in taste AND very very greasy with a strong indica EFFECT. The OG pheno is only slightly less rich and full-bodied in taste, but has a more sativa effect. It finishes ~ 15-20 days later than Iranian pheno.

  • Wow female grower madd props

  • why are you pulling it so early?

that looks like it has about 2 weeks left

  • @4204lifeOGGKush

The OG Kush leaning plants of this variety I did NOT harvest the day of this video. Although, I DID cut a handful of buds that were showing some tendency for bud rot the day this video was made, they really needed another week or so, which they got.

But the plants leaning towards the Iranian side of this cross were absolutely ready by August 15th. I finished harvest of those after taking this video.
