Bull crap, in most wars the Turks won, they vastly outnumbered their enemies in a battle and often won using slaves from other nations (usually Kurds ironically). Their elite units (Janniesries and Siphais) were not even Turks, they were Greeks, Armenians, Romanians, Slavs raised as Turks but as second class ones. I'm a Tatar myself and I think I know my people good. Tatars, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Uygurs, are mostly related to the Mongols because they "mixed" a little bit during and after the Mongol invasions. Azeri, Nogai, Kumiks, Kalmyks are more related to Caucasian people because they lived there and you can see influence of the Caucasian looks of the people. @1923Turkov Russia only committed 100,000 troops to Caucasus and those regions near Turkey, everything else stayed in Europe against France, Sweden and so on who were the REAL opponents and who actually gave Russia challenge. It was a piece of cake conquering the Caucasus and guess what, even today its under Russian control and influence :) Just admit it and stfu and stop whining.

Bull crap, in most wars the Turks won, they vastly outnumbered their enemies in a battle and often won using slaves from other nations (usually Kurds ironically). Their elite units (Janniesries and Siphais) were not even Turks, they were Greeks, Armenians, Romanians, Slavs raised as Turks but as second class ones. The only 'honorable battles' Turks can admire are 1077, the rest are purely due to numbers, luck and tactical failures of certain stupid generals and Kings...

The Turks invaded Constantinople by outnumbering its army 29 - 1 their army even outnumbered the population of the city 4 - 1 and they used giant cannons which is the main reason they won and yet they consider it one of their most glorious battles. When they sieged Vienna, they outnumbered the defending army 18- 1 and when the relief army arrived they still outnumbered them 2 -1 and lost. Only for 200 years they grew and purely due to disunity of Europe and numbers

The only reason the Turks become strong was because the Byzantines sent tens of thousands of them in the Balkans to get rid of the Bulgars which weakened Byzantium halong with by the fourth crusade, attacks from the North by Slavs and attacks from the south by Arabs. And the Turks grew for a period of 300 years during the 100 years war between France and England and the 30 years war in Central Europe and the Mongol hordes. The moment Europe was unified (1680) they lost most wars.

I'm a Tatar myself and I think I know my people good. Tatars, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Uygurs, are mostly related to the Mongols because they "mixed" a little bit during and after the Mongol invasions. Azeri, Nogai, Kumiks, Kalmyks are more related to Caucasian people because they lived there and you can see influence of the Caucasian looks of the people. Turks from Turkey are more related to Arabs, Persians and a bit of Caucasians. The "original" Turks looked like Asians.
