I actually work at an Audi dealership and I recently found out that right now Audi has no plans of releasing the S3 in the usa, and they are planning on building an RS3 for the european market with a biturbo 3.2l, basically the engine from the new a6's with turbos. I hope they atleast bring an S3 to america.
Youre probably right but, The 2.0T and 3.2 FSI engines that come in A3's both have cast iron blocks but to lighten the load up front portions of the front chassis is aluminum. So it may be possible to maintain good handling with an all aluminum 4.2 v8. I just love the way 4.2's sound and the torque they make.
The car is a little bit like the an Evo or a Wrx Sti. 2l Turbo, 4x4 - but it is more heavily although it is smaller. 265Hp and 0-100km/h (60mph) in 6 seconds. It is direct competition!

lol...Even if it did fit, it would seriously compromise the handling.
If they release a RS3, it'll be most likely a V6...

the 0-60 in 6.0s is because VAG down tunes all of there cars especially the ones bound for the states an APR remap will fix you up in the 5.0s range.
