Fairies are real within the spirit of nature.

Seems like he is confusing the magnetic pole with the north pole. The north pole is the axis of the spinning earth. It changes only in the phenomena of precession. The magnetic pole however wanders about and may in fact flip between north and south as indicated in the magnetite cores. The much more fluid spinning molten iron core of the planet seems to be the reason for this movement.
