  • Its VERY annoying to have to have the photo in ONE position, if it is, I have to keep moving around the table while drawing.

  • im just staritng to get in to realism(14)and i never use this kind of techinwue i just draw what i see..

  • Why do you want to fill in the pupil by drawing from every direction?

  • Ive been given a photocopied picture to use nd cant enlarge it nd parts of the photo are really grainy

  • Hey! This was uploaded on my birthday! lol. Excellent videos, very useful. I'm going to try your tips in the future. Thanks a lot!

  • 1 person cant draw

  • I'm a young aspiring artist (age 17) and although I've been drawing seriously since I was about 9 years old, I've never seen a method like yours before. It makes so much more sense than any method I have learned. Thank you so much for providing your knowledge for free. It's so refreshing to see something like this, where you aren't trying to sell anything! (although I might just buy the dvd!!) -Caroline

ps. do you have any colored pencil tutorials? or will you consider making some? thanks!

  • thanks...

  • Just to save you some time in the future, when you use your triangle (or ruler) to square your paper to the board you are drawing on, make a referance line on the board so that you can use it for the next drawing you do.

  • @boneob it's called a set square

  • @boneob oh never mind , in europe it's called setsquare in america its called a triangle

  • What if I don't have an image up close; and no access to a printer; wouldn't I need a different method into sketching that picture, then he is showing in the video? O:

  • Isn't this just... copying a picture?

  • @slinky400 Na mate. Its an artist impression of a real life object. Its only copying a picture if its something that has already been drawn/painted by another artist

  • which five pencils did you use in this video...you use 3h for sketching outline?

  • there is no part to only part one

  • @narcovice search for xQQvqXqtLs8 on YouTube

  • I use painters tape (the blue kind) and it works pretty well on delicate paper. Just a tip.

  • I use carpenter pencils for layout it's faster =) Then tighten it up with a pilot s 3 drafting pencil. Regular pencil work but you fight them =)

  • You no when it come to drawing many person have no idea how to start or what tool to use and how to use them.

  • Why not using a projector?

  • @oriolarumi A projector does have its shortfalls. You can forget to draw in some parts of the picture, The projector could move and the lines that it projects can be very blurred when enlarged to a high degree. I've got a Braun Paxiscope and it's not a bad tool but I've also tried this method by Darrel and it seems very accurate.

  • sir this is very cool:) but please make lots and lots please do:)

  • sir this is very cool:) but please make lots and lots please do:)
