Just watched the series finale of Chuck, and thought I'd look back at this, to see how a show should really end! Not saying Chuck wasn't amazing, because it was :D But an ending like this where it shows what happens even (maybe) 8 years or so down the line (at the wedding the Cohen's Daughter looked around 8) That's how you end a show, with a nice happy-this is how it all turned out- ending :)
This may be the most perfect ending to a show in TV history. It shows how the O.C. wasn't just random dramatic plots but a story that ties together so wonderfully, that since the beginning, it was supposed to end like this. It was a story about individuals and their progress throughout time and them coping with the obstacles together. I cried so much while watching this, seeing how everyone had moved on and changed for the better. Eventhough I wish that it never ended, this was the perfect end<3

they should make a spin-off of the ending where the show gets based off the boy at the ending and Ryan being his adoptive father , it would be awesome

After I finally watched the entire thing, I cried even more. It wasn't perfect. But still...
whatever mistakes it made, whatever flaws it had, you can not argue what a great finale this is... the scene where you see marissa standing on the driveway, passing by, all the memories... it's nothing short of fantastic

The reason why you got hooked onto TheOC is because of the 1st series. So i'd say the 1st series to every show is always the best for example. Heroes, Supernatural, Prison Break and more
There could have been no better song to end a show. Life Is A Song by Patrick Park ends the show amazingly. The songs is all about how everything is being let go, everything weve ever known. Which is exactly what happens here with everyone moving away. Perfect. Just plain perfection.

I just rewatched season 1 and I loved Marissa..she was the reason I watched the show..and her relationship with Ryan. In the beginning it was all so fresh and new but it got too complicated and Marissa's death, despite some of your beliefs, did kill the show (way less viewers).
I think Mischa Barton is a crap actress. This final 5 mins almost made me cry!! And then Rachel and Adam split and everything turned to crap. Oh well I'll just watch my DVD's over and over again. LONG LIVE THE OC. Heyy I've just realised something... how could they have done another series if everyone was going to college, it would be almost impossible. Gald Seth and summer got married.
I liked that Ryan ended up with Taylor instead of Marissa. Marissa and Ryan are just.. too much drama. I think Marissa (If they hadn't killed her off) would have ended up with someone besides Ryan.
To be perfectly honest I was glad they ended it. Some go on so long that you drain every character of their essence. At least this way we all know what happens. Anyway who knows, they may make more when the actors are older, if anyone's still interested years down the line.
I stopped watching regularly mid-way through season 3, and I didn't even bother watching the final season; partially, because I started college. However, I still miss it every time I hear about the show, it was the only drama that ever caught my eye.
I love this series, although not to conform me with the death of marissa... ryan it had that to finish marissa together with, although all the problems that they had, they were loved the same of skill! taste of the taylor I do not find it much force the bar, and it will never have the importance that marissa had! at least it goes to serve of consolation ryan pro!

One Tree Hill has less viewers, but the CW is a more trusting network. It doesn't give up on shows like FOX does. The CW tried to hold on to Gilmore Girls for so long, until the show itself decided it needed to end. Fox is only concerned about ratings, thats why it canceled good shows like Arrested Development. Who knows how long 24 will last on a network like that.
The ONLY reason less shows get cancelled on CW because it has LOWER rating expectations. OC was gonna be moved to CW but both sides decided that it would be better to make new show from same producers = GOSSIP GIRL (BEST SHOW EVER!!!) My love for GG is SO MUCH more than the OC will ever be...although it's sad OC done.
And the Gossip Girl and OTH finale last monday was the BEST MONDAY RATINGS CW had ever had!!! Can't wait till September 1st!

This show fell off harsh. The first season was pretty good, but there was too many schedule changes. I knew it wasn't gonna last long, and I'm glad they finally ended it. These actors/actresses will just end up the same way like those in Beverly Hills 90210. They need to move on to better projects and films .

Nope. It's actually this boy who looked just like Ryan when Sandy found Ryan. That's when Sandy adopted Ryan, so supposedly, it's kind of like a remembrance and Ryan might be the one helping him. Idk if I explained that rite.

I think this was one of the better series finale's I have seen on television. It was a touching tribute to a great show. Although everyone got their happy ending(Seth&Summer, Ryan&Taylor,The Cohens,&even Julie)It wasn't to cliche or corny. I love the final scene of Ryan reaching out to the boy...the boy he once was. All a child needs is a fair chance in life and look where they can go.I cry everytime.

I loved this scene I even cried my eyes out when I 1st saw it... I miss that show, this was the best season by far, and they didnt need Mischa to carry the show, Ben did a good job himself, plus everyone else.
I think season 4 was very different from the other seasons, but I actually think it was more intertaining. Each episode stod out. It might not have been in the original OC sence, but I really liked it.
I think season 4 was the best of all. I didn't like marissa, but it's sad watching them all leave and knowing marissa never got to escape the hell of newport. She's allways going to be their. Every thought they have is going to be her in newport not being happy outside it all with them...does that make sense?

One Tree Hill has less viewers, but the CW is a more trusting network. It doesn't give up on shows like FOX does. The CW tried to hold on to Gilmore Girls for so long, until the show itself decided it needed to end. Fox is only concerned about ratings, thats why it canceled good shows like Arrested Development. Who knows how long 24 will last on a network like that.

The ONLY reason less shows get cancelled on CW because it has LOWER rating expectations. OC was gonna be moved to CW but both sides decided that it would be better to make new show from same producers = GOSSIP GIRL (BEST SHOW EVER!!!) My love for GG is SO MUCH more than the OC will ever be...although it's sad OC done.
And the Gossip Girl and OTH finale last monday was the BEST MONDAY RATINGS CW had ever had!!! Can't wait till September 1st!

thi scene is soo sad when they show marissa she shouldnt have died soo ryan and marissa could have a happy ending i hated ryan and taylor. im soo upset this show left but i wanted marissa in the fourth season soo thats why it wasnt as good cuz they tryed to repalce marissa with taylor and it just didnt work.

This show fell off harsh. The first season was pretty good, but there was too many schedule changes. I knew it wasn't gonna last long, and I'm glad they finally ended it. These actors/actresses will just end up the same way like those in Beverly Hills 90210. They need to move on to better projects and films .

I still can't believe it's over and how they canceled the best show in the entire world. How can anyone be that disappointed that Marissa died and just stop watching it completely? This was one of the happiest seasons of all with barely ANY drama, I loved it so much!

Nope. It's actually this boy who looked just like Ryan when Sandy found Ryan. That's when Sandy adopted Ryan, so supposedly, it's kind of like a remembrance and Ryan might be the one helping him. Idk if I explained that rite.

This is the best series final I have ever seen. I love that you get to know that everything ends happily. God I miss watching a new episode every week. I got the DVD´s, but I miss the exitement.

I think this was one of the better series finale's I have seen on television. It was a touching tribute to a great show. Although everyone got their happy ending(Seth&Summer, Ryan&Taylor,The Cohens,&even Julie)It wasn't to cliche or corny. I love the final scene of Ryan reaching out to the boy...the boy he once was. All a child needs is a fair chance in life and look where they can go.I cry everytime.

I think season 4 was very different from the other seasons, but I actually think it was more intertaining. Each episode stod out. It might not have been in the original OC sence, but I really liked it.

I think season 4 was the best of all. I didn't like marissa, but it's sad watching them all leave and knowing marissa never got to escape the hell of newport. She's allways going to be their. Every thought they have is going to be her in newport not being happy outside it all with them...does that make sense?
