"The sounds were amplified, the bumps were magnified". Man, that describes your first solo. I will never forget mine. BTW, nice turbo-conversion Malibu. Geees. Cool vid. Cool guy.
Nothing like the first solo, downwind leg and getting reading to make that turn to base and realizing, "Oh shit, I have to land this plane by myself." And then all the training all the words of the instructor come rushing back and you check the airspeed, altitude, put the flaps down, adjust the throttle a bit, kick in some rudder to keep lined up with the runway, the plane glides down, level off, settle, flare, touch down. Taxi back and do it two more times. Shirt goes up on the wall of fame.
Good job trying to explain what is tough to get across Kurt. I've heard several nice comments from other airline pilot buddies, that have worked the ramp around you in years past. Always good to hear the pilot camaraderie runs deep. Thanks for giving back as well. You and guys like Harrison represent us well.
Amazing, exactly how pilots feel. When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.
it has been 3 years since kurt russell made a movie, dont get me wrong every body needs a brake from there job but 3 years come on kurt whats up with that? your friend john carpenter took a 10 year break from movies and now he is back directing films again, its time kurt (snake) russell to get off your butt and start kicking butt again ,dont stop doing what you were born to do make great movies
