Good Figure, poor review.

I'm considering getting this for stop motion aniamtion purposes. Would people who have this figure recomend this is good to animate? basically looking for lots of movable joints and no loose joints. From what I saw here it looked pretty good.

@Wizartar Thanks for replying. I looked at your review for 067 and I prefer the look to that one personally. I haven't seen the Rebuilds yet but I do like the less bulkier look to the Eva figure. If I were to go for that one no rotating the hands unfortunately but I'm not sure if that'd be necessary in animating it. Have you got 100? If so, what are your thoughts?

i have some Kaiyodo made EVA's. they are not bad too.

but they are easy to break and by far less posable compared

Man, this version of the EVA-01 isn't from the Rebuild movie. The Rebuild version is the number 067, probably what you've got is number 032. The newest version has an articulation in the jaw, replacing the need of an extra head to make the opened mouth effect! But nice review anyway, keep up with the good work!

@KazuBadguy True this is No. 32 and from 2 years go. The box says "new move" while the HLJ site, which is where I took the information from says it's 'Rebuild of Evangelion movie series' HLJ product KYD01109. But you're right this actually from The End of Evangelion: Renewal movie. My bad!

@Shyrka66 I've already watched the movie, aside from the TV series from 1996. I'm pretty sure about what I said: the EVAS in the TV series are much more muscular than in the movie, which they're more thin. Also, go take a look in Revoltech's catalog and you'll see that the Rebuild version is the Revoltech Figure no. 67, This one in the review is the no. 32, which is the "End of Evangelion" movie version. It seems that you don't know much about that, so I suggest you to go watch it XD

Eva 01 no.32 are from rebuild of evangelion 1.0

Thats because Eva 01 in end of evangelion movie had the same amount of green lights as in tv series from 1996

Eva 01 from rebuild of evangelion 1.0 had more lights on chest and head!

Eva 01 from rebuild of evangelion 2.0 had more same ammount of lights as in 1.0 one but it just had a bit more lights in arms!

Don't apologize. Evangelion, Evangelical, Televangelist... they all come from the same base word and are pronounced with a soft G. It is a correct pronunciation of the word and perfectly acceptable. I'm not sure of the pronunciation of the original Greek "euangelion", but I know what it says in the dictionary. These posters would have us believe that if the Brits say herb with the 'h' spoken, while the Yanks say it with the 'h' silent that only one is acceptable... when it means the same thing!

Like the name Evangeline or Televangelists or the Evangelical Church... it's always a soft G. Only the Japanese say the G hard, which is due to the fact that they use the letter G to represent a hard sound... so they mispronounce the word.

Its a little under 4 inches tall. Both the snap kit or Chogokin are taller. This is more little a GI Joe type figure size, but a little bit taller.

How are the "Rebuild of Evangelion" units 00 and 01 models compared to the standard models of 01 and 02 in terms of quality and craftmans-ship?

Likewise with "End of Evangelion" unit 02 in comparision to the oiginal 02 model.

I recall the TV series was great, but I have my doubts on the recent "movies"... It's been so long since I saw it originally, I wonder if I could spot the new scenes, and I'm not even sure I'd care to see a condensed version with so much material edited out to fit the duration of a theatrical release.
