HipHop is music that anyone can listen to because its the basic rhythm everyone can listen to and get a feel for, and you don't have to think while listening to it. You can just sit there and let it wash over you, while with classical music you need to pay attention and understand what you're listening to. ie boring to the average.... oh i see now

You couldn't, it would sound brand new and much less satisfying. And sure... "some" hip hop music does require high levels of attention, but all in all hip hop music is useful for one thing only. Making girls dirty dance, then and only then will I accept its use as culturally useful.

Tupac would be rolling over in his grave.  Either way American culture created those scary genres that will hopefully fade away in my lifetime.

Some of Tupac and some of Eminem's stuff is now considered hip hop. (Why are you telling me to listen to Chris Brown?) Listening to music is a subjective experience like look at works of art. A person does not have to listen a certain way to appreciate it.
