  • Interesting...then I guess Donny Osmond, David Cassidy and all those other teen idols were also petos........who made all this crap up? Jealous guys probably!

  • There are some really nasty, filthy dregs on the comment section! And btw- that line is 'Lie like a fox, yeah, just to see what you can get.'

  • @TheWistfulthinker that's so weird, i always heard "down by the portion just to see what you can get"!

  • Fuckin' Paedophiles, all of them ; especially that grinning convicted Paedo of a drummer. He looks like part downs syndrome

  • @TheKenfig you're a total jerk in need of growing up.

  • @TheWistfulthinker Why ? ; cos paedophiles are sick and the Bay City Rollers are full of them ?

  • @TheKenfig No, luv- just because you are a case of arrested development. Just like you claim they are.

  • @TheWistfulthinker Well sorry luv, you're living in denial ; open your eyes and ears and look up the facts. They're well documented

  • Printing press 'magic'.

  • eric was a shloooog he was soooooo jealous of les its sad xxxxxxxxx

  • the BCRs -no wonder punk happened

  • @unclemort1960 And punks wore? Tartan lol.

  • @TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY the original punks never wore tartan ,that was the kings road poser type punks who wore those tartan `bondage pants`.mind you it will no doubt , interest you that the ramones the highly influencial NYC band cited the rollers as an influence they wanted the rollers to record one of their songs!

  • @unclemort1960 Maybe they should have jumped on the punk band wagon.

  • @TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY probably would have been possible .midge ure who was in slik joined a group with ex-sex pistol glen matlock .scots punk band the drones were allegedly a BCR cover band.jimmy pursey of sham 69 once said that the BCRs gave people a lot of pleasure but were a bit `packaged`.

  • @unclemort1960 Just a bit packaged?

  • @TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY i think their manager, tam patton ,said he wanted to promote them like baked beans.

  • @unclemort1960 Oh dear, from baked beans to has beans (sorry been's) in only a few short years.

  • @TWENTIETHCENTURYBABY the BCRs singer related that he was once fishing and got talking to a bloke who had money/marriage/drink/mental health problems ,he said `you think you`ve got problem`s i used to be a bay city roller`!

  • The BCRs hit #9 in Billboard, 4-3-76. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Yah; my fav, woody! Hey sis, remember when our cousin Lisa played that joke on me that I won the BCR contest to meet them; she sent a letter stating that I won & that I could get to meet them and I was so happy, then grandma told me that she played a joke on me! What a meanie! :)

  • woody sure looks like hes having fun in all the videos!he sure has a great spirit!

  • the piano was a player piano...heee

  • @mizzlizz911 you know the way your username is mizzlizzi? did you name it after the beatles song? or is your name lizzi?

  • i like the drummer ya

  • Eric ♥

  • Piano in song, yet no one even fakes piano in this video. Classic!!!!!!

  • My goodness - this was the real "Bubble Gum Music" in the mid 70ies. I was a by 20 years old and remember to them very well. They became very popular - also in Austria. These boys remind me to Ohio Express a bit. This is 35 years ago......1976 I was in Amsterdam smoking joints at the Vondelpark. Now we, who survived - are old men. No more long hair - big belly - and so on......

  • DESDE ELL P E RU SU AMIGO YOUR FRIEN D VICTOR GOOD SONG DE LOS BAY CITY ROLLERS-- AMI ME GUSTA TAMBIEN ESTE TEMA---VICTOR --- P E R U

  • Image? 0 points. Music? Brilliant Rock n Roll, 10 points.

  • Nothin' could be further from the truth. I'm a Christian. I love EVERYBODY, regardless of gender. I happen to like '70s & '80s pop music. THAT's the extent of it. Not gay, y'hear me? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg I saw you walking into a gay bar last week with a raincoat on a ninety degree day.I think you are A closet fudgefucker!God bless!

  • @AmericansEyaShit Begone, you non-Christian!

  • @DaveWollenberg Dave Wollenberg, you pro swallowimg Cum guzzler!God Bless you Mr Dick sucker!

  • @DaveWollenberg you see Dave? an older man cant go anywhere where the are younger people without getting called either gay or a paedophile.

I'm a christian too so I know what it's like to get hassled by people.

    God bless.

  • @mariomaniac6411 Exactly, so, now, I just delete these vile comments, 'cause they hate people like you and me, standin' up for our Christian beliefs. God bless! Hugs to ya!

  • @mariomaniac6411 Gimmie a break ! ; no one calls non Paedos a Paedo regardless of their age unless they are. These fuckers are Paedos, especially that mong of a 'drummer' with an evil grin ; he was convicted

  • @mistymountainhoppy You missed the joke - YOUTH - child porn - get it?

  • Does anyone else think Alan is really gorgeous in this video with short hair?

    I know I do!

  • Great song.

    I still love it.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • What, the mangement couldn't afford to buy the bass player a left-handed bass? Cheap bastards. And, whatever happened to these clowns? They must be in their 60s by now, or close to it. Ancient has-beens, like the vast majority of the music acts.

  • @DoctorLawyerWhatever They aren't clowns or has-beens! If they were has-beens would a single song get 99,731 views?

  • @mariomaniac6411 Yes, it would. Because the song is 30 years old. And people propogate their own version of nostalgia for myriad reasons.

  • Saturday Night hit #1 in January 1976 in the US. This song hit #3 a few months later. EVERYBODY who sang on TV back then, "lip-synced". It was the norm. The recordings made things easier for the soundmen to set.

  • I only wanna be with you was by Dusty Springfield.......

People back then never noticed the guitars were not even plugged in. LOL

I have a brand NEW music video of the Bay City Rollers with Ian Mitchell doing "Saturday Night" finished. It will be public in a couple weeks. Subscribe to my channel and be the first to see it!

  • gay, showing their cocks offff...haha. funny stuff, i remember when they were big.

  • Billboard's #91 song of '76. BCR hit #9 in Billboard. How'd it do in their native Scotland? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg As I remember it did'nt do that well only about no 10 I think. That astonished me because I thought it was the best thing they had done. Well, that's the music business for you!

  • @2001perseus Still, #10 is nothin' to sneeze at, right, gang? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg Agreed. I love music from that era too. Always cheers me up when things are'nt too great. That and watching Top Gear. Bless you too

  • @DaveWollenberg Hey Dave,at 48 why do you still masterbate to The Bay city Rollers?

  • @BobLemkeSuxDix Bob, that remark was uncalled for. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg Dave, your behavior is very questionable for a 48 year old man.Hanging around on the Youtube sites such as Donny and marie, the Bay City Rollers,Parker Stevenson,Leif garrett,Tony DeFranco,David Cassidy,Bobby Sherman etc tells me that you are a closet homosexual who prays on teen idols from days gone bye.Now go call Dr Drew,Dr Phil and Dr Ruth and apply for that sex change operation you have been dreaming about for the last 48 years.God bless!

  • I saw these guys at the Indiana State Fair...girls were fainting all over the place.....one even broke her leg up close to the stage....my very first concert!!!!

  • HUMM ERIC HAD A TINY backside errr purrrrrr

  • Wow, this actually isn't cheesy! I don't remember this one and I was a HUGE fan.

  • The drummer was obviously the "Stephen Baldwin" of the band, who later on, was arrested for posession of child porn. He wrote one of their other hits, "I Only Wanna Be With Youth"

  • I loved Les. I wonder if he ever grew any chest hair. You shoulda seen my kids faces when I told them that I thought that we should all dress like this. I was a BCR nut. This was my favorite song.

  • Well My kids had a good laugh when i showed them who the Bay City Rollers were! I think I was 14 or 15 when I went to my first concert at the Anaheim Convention Center...I had good clean fun ,real innocent...it is nice to go down memory lane! Eric was my Favorite and I had a complete outfit with Green tartan...lol I sure am surprised to find them here on YOU Tube...I still like them...lol after my kids got past the funny hair and the outfits they thought they were COOL.!

  • Mary7trent;; i love woody; and i had an outfit too ' my mom got it at EATONS::

i rem it like it was yesyerday;;;;;;; sooo cute

  • Love BCR, Eric was my fav. I had an outfit just like them when i was a kid, i break out the vinyl now an then, for a smile, an old memories.

  • One of my fave....Great performance.

    Thanks for sharing

  • Hit #9 in the US (Billboard). How'd it do in Scotland? God bless!

  • @DaveWollenberg No.3 in UK

  • Love it!!!!!!! Oh kiss me Woody!

  • Brothers sold a lot o albums. Guess they ended up suing their manager cause they have nada. I used to rock out to these guys. 14 again.

  • Eric in white pants! Need i say more!! Oh Yummmmm!

  • Les needs underwear

  • All you Roller-Mates,can anyone of you read lips?

Am I wrong or is Les saying to Eric at 2:24/2.25,

"you're begging for a fight" ? and the last minute he ignore's Eric completely and at the end Les even looks a bit angry +doesn't smile at all....

What's wrong here with those 2 babes?

  • mayb????

  • Yes he was/did. Eric was crowding Les, standing on Les' side of his [Eric's] mic, instead of directly in front, and practically bumps Les at 2:07. Was Eric angling for more face time?

They say the band was rigidly controlled; was the vid supposed to be "just so" with no horseplay? Considering what other bands do onstage, it was really trivial. Les should have shrugged it off.

  • (make that 2:06 or so)

  • @bibiJ63 I just went to the spot, and It is what he said..

    Exactly...

  • I wouldn't have never noticed that, but yes, Les *was* warning Eric basically to back off and I can see why. I don't know if they were told to stand real close because of the small area or because of the camera, but Eric's guitar almost hit Les many times. Mainly his face! I cringed every time I saw it.

  • I was also wrong i googled BCR lyrics and this is what Les sings, Money Honey you aint got no respect, but i like to watch you lust just to see what you can get now.

  • Leslie sings Fortune in this song..

  • was it not "forkshed" - ive sang that for 33 years wrong if it isn't ha ha

  • i always thought he sang "sly like a fox yeah , just 2 c wot u can get"

  • yeah that sounds more like the words - makes sense eh

  • They could have at least plugged the guitars in.... must have been tough to fake it and not hit the drums too.

  • B-side of the "Saturday Night" 45- awesome song!

  • @maxshiffman It was released as a single independently of 'Saturday Night' in the UK in 1976. I remember a lot of the 10/11/12 year old fans didn't like it, I suppose because it was the least poppy song they had done, but looking back only 4 ot 5 years later, they thought it was one of the best things they ever did.

  • Great video! good clear picture too, thanks for posting

  • Did they always keep a "backup" Spare Microphone in Lead Singers PAnts back in the 70's ??? or was it for the "Wha-Wha" affect?

  • He didn't have a guitar to hide behind.

  • Sure looks like Les was "Packin"!!!! woohooooo-love it!!!

  • @cocatwoman7 he was BEING PACKED BY HIS MANAGER!

  • @truth2masses uh-I know...very disgusting. Tam bit the dust no to long ago-yeaaaa! Hope he's getting "fudge packed" by many "large" peeps in hell. I can almost hear Tam saying "Ouchies" ROTFLMAO

  • @cocatwoman7 jeez I had to look... :(

  • @cocatwoman7 Too bad they got f*cked so bad by their manager...

  • I just love to watch woody play the guitar, just the way he stands and moves.... I could watch him all day!!

  • they are look so cute and innosence but have

    much talent

  • Why does the audience look so bored,I would be loving it!!!

  • I think it was made around the time that they were losing their teen appeal. But it's my favourite song of theirs.

  • German t.v. with a German audience, I'm guessing. Germany didn't succumb to Rollermania the way the English-speaking world did. I love this song!!! Thanks for the post!!

  • I love this song too!!!!

  • that was in germany i think. they dont get excited about stuff like we do

  • Love the video, thanks for the posting! The force is strong still after all these years. I recall the lyric in Money Honey, I think it was in print in 16 Magazine. I had to get out the OX and look it up. I did not know what "snide" meant...lol!!

  • YUMMY HONEY!!! Rock on Les!!!! Love the BCR-miss the lads. Big sigh.....

  • my favorite band of all time just loved the songs and wearing the tartan gear great memories

  • To clarify my previous post; I know the direct shots of the piano show no one is there. However, when they flash in the direction of Eric, it looks like someone is sitting there. Does anyone else see it?

  • It does look like someone is there but it may be someone in the audience. The ariel view looks like no one is there though.

  • That's what I thought, it's kind of freaky though.

  • looks like they have video monitors in the background and at just the right angle, you see movement in one of them behind Eric and the Piano.

  • is it my imagination, or is there someone at the piano? if so i wonder who.

  • This is one of my all time favorite songs! Absolutely awesome post!

  • I love The Bay City Rollers!! Watching all these fabulous videos always brightens my gloomiest days, ALWAYS!!!!

  • Rollers in Canada?

  • I believe the lyrics are "Snide like a fox, yeah, just to see what you can get". People back in the day thought he said the "f-word." This is still, after all these years, one of my favorite songs of all time. For some reason, it just grabbed me and never let go. Great song and, of course, I LOVE THE BAY CITY ROLLERS!!! Thanks for the post! Long live THE BAY CITY ROLLERS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • But I like to watch you

Just to see what you can get

That is what they're saying. lol no foxes.

  • It's interesting. I know I am correct because I remember from back in the day the controversy. But to find proof... So I yahoosearched ""money honey" by bay city rollers lyrics" and began digging. Several sites verified my claim (chordiedotcom, kovideodotnet, leoslyricsdotcom and lyricsmaniadotcom) but others were as wrong as you and Fritz51175. And "official" and fan sites were of no help. Even amirightdotcom was off slightly. Anyway, Long Live the BAY CITY ROLLERS!!!

  • or is it: "Now I'd like a fork-share just to see what you can get"

  • Thank You

  • I just love these guys!!!

  • Thank you so much for this clip. BCR rocks!!! Keep 'em comming!!!
