is there some ban against hollywood actors choosing sci fi or fantasy films as their favorites, and only being allowed to choose drama or crime films?
US congresswoman Cynthia McKinney has come out and blamed the pro-Israel Lobby in America (AIPAC, ADL, ZOA, etc) for ruining her political career. While in congress she refused to sign the pro-Israel pledge and took a pro-Palestinian stance. Because of this, McKinney said “war was declared” on her by the Jewish lobby. In 2009 she told TIU's Ognir that “more than 99% of Congress work for Pro Zionist Israeli interests.”
Blade Runner. It blends gritty sci-fi with intelligent, philosophical questions and is just a beautiful film in every sense. The Final Cut is best, but any version is great.
Any true lover of the movies - and I mean THE movies, not just movies made in the past two decades - know that this is an absurd question. A more fair question would be, Who's your favorite director?
Whenever someone mentions a favorite work of art that the philistines haven't heard of, the mob get suspicious and thinks the interviewee is just picking something to sound hip or intellectual or high-cultured. God forbid they actually may enjoy something like that without putting on airs. God help those freaks.
Tommy Wiseau's 'The Room' if you have not seen it, watch it now and thank me later. Films such as 'The Godfather' and 'Gone With the Wind' both pale in comparison to this majestic masterpiece.
wen im doing lists i count the franchises as one but all time favourite the empire strikes back i mean just flawless i mean its as if it was made for me in particular its just got everything i love
1) Singing in the Rain 2) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind 3) American Beauty 4) Trainspotting 5) Amelie 6) A Clockwork Orange 7) Rocky Horror Picture Show 8) Apocalypse Now 9) any marx brothers film 10) Bonnie and Clyde phew... soooo many more. Stanley Kubrick is my favorite director

seven is the most exciting film.
Im still not sure about my numbers 4 and 5 or 2 and 3 what order would you guys put these five films in. please reply
My favorite film of all time is Pulp Fiction. The way the story is told, the way the characters talk to each other, and how well the plot develops without us not really knowing is magic. I'm not saying Pulp Fiction is the BEST film of all time, because it's not true. It is just my favorite, one that I will watch over and over again until I die.
my fav is donnie darko. its wat got me interested in filmmaking. i have 28:06:42:12 tattooed on my left arm so i never loose focus of my dream to make movies
The films I absolutely adore and enjoy through and through, as of now at least: 1. Taxi Driver 2. Pulp Fiction 3. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly 4. Touch of Evil 5. Fight Club 6. Apocalypse Now 7. The Mask 8. Big Trouble in Little China 9. Star Wars: A New Hope 10. Dr. Strangelove
do you understand memento ? ...i watch 20 minutes and then i stop and realised that i am to stupid to watch that movie :| ...im only 17 and i saw a lot of movies but that movie ..DAMN ! and i'm a lilttle disaponted that i never apriciated Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind..if you are interested i'll give you my top 75 movies of all time
I am interested, that'd be cool. You're top five is very good. Who can't love The Good, The Bad and The Ugly?
And yes I do understand Memento. Watch it to the end and it all makes sense, though it also makes more sense if you understand the narrative. And I loved Eternal Sunshine btw.
My Favourites 1) Reservoir Dogs 2)Hostel Part 2 3)Fargo 4)Once Upon A Time In America 5)Scream 6)Platoon 7)Rocky 8)Full Metal Jacket 9)Jackie Brown 10)Scarface
Braveheart, The Shining, The Bridge On The River Kwai, Psycho, Raging Bull, Schindler's List, One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest, Mystic River, Jaws, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, 12 Angry Men, Ghosts Of Mississippi, To Kill A Mockingbird, Toy Story
My favourite movie of all time is The kid by Charlie Chaplin(Pinocchio,Pirates of the CAribbean 2,The godfather or The good, the bad and the ugly are great too).
And I dont know why Casablanca ranks number 2 on list of great film.I watched it.Yes some scences are wonderful but the rest of the film is quite long and boring.
Donnie Darko. What's Eating Gilbert Grape. When Harry Met Sally. My Beautiful Laundrette. The Lion King. Dog Day Afternoon. Tootsie. Forrest Gump. Hannah and Her Sisters. The Graduate. Moonstruck. Its A Wonderful Life. Little Big Man. The Godfather. Harold and Maude. I'll just stop now.
My Favorites are: Pulp Fiction,To Kill A Mocking Bird, Apocalypse Now,La Dolce Vita, Wild Strawberries, The Rules of The Game,Bridge Over River Kwai,Citizen Kane,2001, Dr.Strangelove,The Godfather
Seven Samurai,Schindler's List, Mr.Smith Goes To Washimgton,Raging Bull, and On The Waterfront. There are many others though.
a new hope empire strikes back predator princess bride dark knight clockwork orange good bad ugly naked gun dr strangelove airplane i had a vhs tape of the star wars trilogy when i was a kid and i wore it out.and i cant start watchin the godfather and not finish it and its like 4 hours long. unforgiven is a classic too. pretty much any clint western as well as the connery bonds
Brando was responsible for the success of "The Godfather" even more than Coppola. And we were all left with what would have happened with the 1st movie if Brando hadn't been involved - a flop.
My favorite film of all time, is Top Gun. I know some of the best films in history have the best actors in the world with the best performances, but Top Gun has always been my favorite. It sort of...enduced my love for military aircraft.
1)Forrest Gump 2)Born on the 4th of July 3)Doctor Zivago 4)Edward Scissorhands 5)Braveheart 6)Saving private Ryan 7)Godfather part 2 8)Shawshank Redemption 9)Batman Begins 10)American werewolf in London and another 100 movies
My Favorite movie is actually a 10-way-tie between all 6 Star Wars movies, Rocky, Ready to Rumble, Don't be a Menace, and The Warriors. They're just all so good I can't pick one!
blockbuster online? they have it all. Pulp Fiction is the best movie ever. Never has nothingness been so cool, relateable, and pure joy to watch. American Beauty and The Shawshank Redemption are among my favorites as well because they are stories of not letting others control your life and doing what you want. other elements apply as well, but those are the three best to me.
Mine is John Waters' Hairspray. (The orig.) It's hilarious and quirky and heartwarming and weird. Plus, "it's got a good beat and you can dance to it."
is there some ban against hollywood actors choosing sci fi or fantasy films as their favorites, and only being allowed to choose drama or crime films?

My Favorite movie is actually a 10-way-tie between all 6 Star Wars movies, Rocky, Ready to Rumble, Don't be a Menace, and The Warriors. They're just all so good I can't pick one!

blockbuster online? they have it all. Pulp Fiction is the best movie ever. Never has nothingness been so cool, relateable, and pure joy to watch. American Beauty and The Shawshank Redemption are among my favorites as well because they are stories of not letting others control your life and doing what you want. other elements apply as well, but those are the three best to me.

Picking one favourite is an exercise in masochism!

Mine is John Waters' Hairspray. (The orig.) It's hilarious and quirky and heartwarming and weird. Plus, "it's got a good beat and you can dance to it."

It's a three way tie. "In America", "Muriels Wedding", and "Glory". I can't decide which one (lol).
